We are back from lecturing and doing a live surgery demonstrations in Moscow to about 170 dentists from all over Russia, Ukraine and Israel. It was a pleasure sharing our knowledge and expertise with wonderful people eager to learn. Lots of new friends made. And to top it off, Moscow was absolutely stunning. Definitely worth a visit! While all endodontists are dentists, less than three percent of dentists are endodontists. Just like a doctor in any other field, endodontists are specialists because they’ve completed an additional two or more years of training beyond dental school. Their additional training focuses on diagnosing tooth pain and performing root canal treatment and other procedures relating to the interior of the tooth. In many cases, a diseased tooth can be saved with endodontic treatment. For this reason, endodontists proudly refer to themselves as Specialists in Saving Teeth.

BACK FROM THE AAE ANNUAL MEETING! Dr. Kim and Dr. Iofin just returned from the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting in Montréal, Canada. Both doctors presented and attended lectures in latest innovations and technology in Endodontics.

Thank you, South Korea for your hospitality! The 2018 World Endodontic Congress in Seoul was a great success with about 2000 dentists from 64 countries in attendance! We also visited the Chosun University Dental College in Gwangju as part of the UPenn Dental delegation. Beautiful country, wonderful people and first-rate dental education. See you next time!
