Today we received a call from Dwayne Metott of Worthington Industries of Rome stating they had been collecting snow pants for children and Mrs. Metott, a lunch monitor for Bellamy Elementary School gave him our number. Fifteen minutes later he arrived with several bags in tow, filled with brand new winter gear for kids. The support in our Connected Community never ceases to amaze!!!

October is Hunger Awareness Month and we are doing all we can do to prevent hungry students and families. To date we have distributed over 600,000lbs of food, which is equal to 550,000 meals for those in need. These are our students, our parents and our senior citizens. Please help us to continue, the need is only growing. A $100 donation purchases 1,000lbs of food!! Each Tuesday we are assisting 2,000 people in need and each week that is growing as our community is struggling. Please help us fight hunger - #ConnectedWeCan

We are looking for Community Partners!! For our third year Connected Community Schools will be assisting families in the Rome, Waterville, Dolgeville and Town of Webb areas with Holiday toys, food and necessities. If you, an organization, club, family or business is interested in helping us accomplish this, Please reach out to us!! This will take a Community, we are expecting Many more families than in years past, lets help to make this a Great Holiday for our students!! #ItTakesACommunity Thank you!
