+++ IMPORTANT - (6/24/2021) New Teacher Center Certificate Requirements - more info needed.+++ As a condition of the renewal of our CTLE status with the NY State DOE , we are now required to collect and display the following information for trainees on their training certificates: - Date of Birth - Last 4 digits of SSN... These are required by the State. If they decide to audit any of our records going forward they want to be able to positively identify the certificate holder. Records must be kept a minimum of eight years. So - before we can issue a completion certificate, we will be asking for DOB and last 4 of SSN. No data - can't issue a cert.

Juneteenth 2021 is nearly here Participants in the RTC Professional Development class - Let's Talk About Race: An Anti-Racist Book Study (Step II: Race Dialogues) -discussed ways to bring change to our education system. We decided a Juneteenth conversation was a great place to start since we were given June 18th off in recognition of Juneteenth. We realized that students will have this day off without any understanding of the importance of the NYS Holiday. We decided to... put forth some initial talking points for teachers to begin a very simple but important conversation so that students begin to understand this day, not simply as a day off.
