Estrella Show Horse 30.12.2020

Winter is a fantastic time for us all to grow! Kylie is learning the ins and outs of young horses. Yesterday, we talked about how much both boys are listening. They are such willing horses who are literally "taking notes." With this power of willingness, quality and ability Kylie can make anything happen with these boys.

This boy is a rock star in the ring. Among the caos of a big class, in a brand new ring, he showed as if nobody else was there and placed 3rd under 2 experienced horses. We are thankful for a solid start and now we look forward to continuing his training ourselves, at home- Estrella Show Horse. Believe it or not many Paints and Quarter Horses have been trained here throughout our 30+ years of riding. He is settling in very well and is alot of fun to work and play with.

Kylie is accomplishing so many great things on Ace! She is training this boy and I couldn't be more impressed. Kylie, Taylor and I each have been fortunate enough to own an Arabian who loves to jump! Sheik, Tara and now Ace will be forever in our hearts.

Horse Show season 2020 is a wrap. This has been a transition year for Kylie from Sydney, who has been the most wonderful mare to grow up on, to 2 young geldings. Sydney & Kylie started in Leadline, through Walk / Trot to the 13 & under division. Kylie won 3rd in a large Western Pleasure class on her 3 year old Paint gelding, Cash this past weekend plus 5th in a large Gelding Halter class and 6th in Western Horsemanship. Kara Powell of Powell Performance has been the best trai...ner I could imagine to bring Kylie and Cash into this new Western Show life. Ace, our 4 yr. old Arabian Gelding has become trail horse supreme for Kylie plus he really enjoyed this weekend at the Winning Weekends show at the Chemung County fairgrounds. We didn't show him there, instead we worked him for 3 days and let him see the world of horse shows. He was positive, had no spook at all and loved working there. Sydney and Stormy "held the home fort down" this weekend. Both of these lovely Sr. Mares have been officially retired but don't tell them. In Sydney's final show season she happily entered leadline with Miss Scarlett! They are the boss mares regardless of age. They definitely know how to raise the boys and are taking their job very seriously. Zoe, our Arabian mare played a huge role in this season too. She was Kylie's first training horse and she was a huge success. Zoe learned how to be a top notch riding horse in the arena and field. We love her even though she has a new home. I thank God and everyone for helping Kylie have a great season. Beyond the pandemic this year, we made new friends, played with our forever friends and learned so much more! See more
