Contest Winner Announcement Theme: Nature To everyone who entered, liked, shared! To everyone that helped get this done! ... @rondacksphoto Let me start by stating once again, THANK YOU to my family for helping me get the photos taken this month. Renee, Brayden, Orion and even my beautiful Grandmother for making a few sacrifices, helped inspire and even modeled for me! Also special thanks to Andrew Rowback and Perth Ultimate Fitness, Aunt Bee's Bakery, Iron Throne Fitness Adventure and David Zwack for participating! I can’t thank you all enough! This was to challenge me and my photography. All while trying to make me step even more out of my comfort zone. Lol. I am stoked with the outcome and can’t wait to do another contest. It will be a little different and the details are comingVERY SOON!!! Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for. I downloaded an app called Spin The Wheel. This app allows you to create a wheel you can edit. I placed each entrant’s name on the wheel and made it so it was a random winner. Due to restrictions with contests I had to contact the winner to get consent to announce their name. With that said, I am happy to announce that Vincenzo B. is the winner of the contest! However, I have something special for the other entrants as well so I will be reaching out to each of you individually with the details very soon!!!! DAY 31 Theme: Memorial Day PFC William E. Hasenfuss Jr. @rondacksphoto... Have you ever driven past Isabel’s Field in Amsterdam, NY and wondered what that memorial was for? Well, that memorial means alot to Renee and her family! William E. Hasenfuss Jr. was enlisted in the United States Army Air Force and served during World War II. Hasenfuss had the rank of Private First Class attached to the 22nd Materiel Squadron, at Hickam Field, Hawaii. During his service in World War II, Army Air Forces Private First Class Hasenfuss was reported missing and ultimately declared dead on December 7, 1941 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, National Memorial Cemetery of Pacific Honolulu, Hawaii. This is an American Battle Monuments Commission location. Hasenfuss is also honored here at what was originally recognized as Hasenfuss Field in Amsterdam, NY. This memorial stands to honor him as he was the first Amsterdam resident who was a casualty as a result of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. William is Renee’s Great Uncle. Today we also honor Renee’s Grandfather, Norbert Moe Slezak. He served in WWII in the U.S. Navy. May they both rest in peace. Memorial Day is to remember and honor those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and are no longer with us.
