Hello dear clients, I hope you are having a great Holiday season so far!... It's hard to believe that in a few day's time we'll be celebrating another year passing and a New Year beginning! I am personally looking forward to 2022! Maybe a year when we can successfully conquer this Covid? Maybe a year to get back to full normality? Maybe some exciting changes in your very favorite aesthetician's life? Maybe those changes will be positively effecting you too? I am very curious what changes would you like to see in 2022? Can we play a game? Would you respond to just the A,B,C or D letters to my questionnaire? A- a new location, maybe first floor? B- a new service, adding more indulgence? I just heard the best news, just now !!! WE ARE ALLOWED TO DO FACIALS!!! As long as I wear a face mask and a shield you are allowed to remove your mask. (At this point I would wear 10 masks if that is what it takes) I will also have to get tested regularly, which I have been doing bi-weekly for a while just in case we get to go forward and I am negative of course.... I have a plan in place for months now, and all the necessary preparation to safely reopen. So I am ready!!! What I'm asking you to do to keep us stay open: -please stay home if you have any symptoms, fever, or sore throat -upon arrival stay in your car and text me to make sure previous client left and my place is properly sanitized -no shoes, outside drinks or food beyond waiting room please -I will take your temperature -sanitize hands before entering treatment area -no snacks, drinks, or product samples allowed (sorry) Please don't reply to this email. We have to be heard! We have to REOPEN!!!

Hi Mark, I need your assistance, guidance and advice. I am a clinical esthetician for 40 years, self employed, operating in a 600sf small studio in Cheektowaga.... I have no employees and I only have one client at a time. However 99% of my business is doing facials and according to NY forward reopening guideline no treatment allowed that requires removing face covering. I understand that dental hygienist are open and able to do dental cleaning. That also requires removing the mask?!?! I have all the necessary and mandatory hospital grade supplies, uv air purifier equipment and all the set up to operate just as safely, if not more, than a dental hygienist. Any one from your office or the health department is welcome to inspect my clinic. I get my Covid test done biweekly as well. All negative. I check the NY forward website daily and there is no change in my status. Both my clients and I are very frustrated about the fact that there are not even a mention of my profession and therefore I'm unable to tell my clients how soon we can start booking appointments. In the meantime I have to pay rent, utilities, insurance etc. I am also a single Mom, having no other income. I have no other training or qualification to get another job! After 40 years that's all I can do. How long before my business goes down that I built for 40 years? Would you able to help? Guide me how to get a permission to reopen? I believe I can operate safely, my circumstances are special since it's a one person operation, one client at a time, ample amount of time to sanitize in between clients and I am clinically trained and able to keep my clients and myself safe. I was hoping to deliver good news for you, but... We are entering Phase 3 potentially on June 16th. At this phase we were supposed to be opening personal care, skin, spa and nail services, but... As I'm reading through mandatory guidelines for the services I'm offering, any services that would require clients removing face coverings are prohibited. That means all facials, face waxing, etc.... I'm hoping that Phase 4 (starting June 30th) we will be getting the green light and can re-open with full steam (no punt intended) I am organizing a curbside pick up Friday, June 12th at 11:30 to 12:30. My Dearest client, It is with increasing frustration and a very heavy heart to announce that unfortunately I have to POSTPONE my Re-opening. Although hair salons are most likely to open at phase 2, which date is still to be confirmed, but aesthetic services are still not allowed to be offered.... There are random rumors about "this date or that date" to lift the ban on facials, but I can't operate my practice based on hear-sake. I hope you understand that I have no choice, but to cancel all the appointments we scheduled for June. It doesn't mean I will not re-open in a later date in June, but this will allow me to start with a clean slate, an open appointment book to schedule you all in when all this chaos settles and we will have a 100% assurance that we are not only legally open, but also following all the guidelines, that will yet to be provided by our leaders. I am very sorry for all the inconvenience, for all the effort we put in scheduling your appointments. I will reach out to all of you via emails and text messages as soon as we have 100% confirmation!
