Railing installed yesterday. This railing was mounted between posts installed by the carpenters and was fabricated to fit around the trim added to the posts. They were capped with custom killed red oak and sanded to 800 grit finish. Here we are putting a natural finish on these railings. This finish is one that dates back to the beginning of metalwork, and is very simple but time consuming. This finish is achieved by heating up the entire piece and rubbing a mixture of beeswax and linseed oil over every part.
