On this Memorial Day 2020, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of Suffolk wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all our military veterans, both living and deceased, who have served our country. Many of these men and women are continuing to give back through volunteerism in their communities, helping countless not for profit organizations continue their work of reaching out to those in need. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice and your inspiration to all your fellow Americans!

All of us at RSVP are sending out good wishes to our Mothers, Grandmothers, Great Grandmothers and every special caregiver in our lives. We have all benefited in some way from these amazing Super Heroes who give so selflessly to us. These difficult days have shown us just how much it means to stay close and connected, even if it is through a phone or computer screen!! Stay well and safe everyone, and have a very Happy Mother's Day!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 5, 2020 is GIVING TUESDAY. It is a day set aside to help those not-for-profit organizations that rely on the generosity of others to keep their programs and services going and continuing to give back to those in need in their communities. RSVP Suffolk is one of those organizations! Many of our programs have been reaching out and helping others during this Covid-19 crisis. Our programs such as Telephone Reassurance (a daily well-check phone call to over ...200 mostly homebound seniors) and Computer Connections (donated computers, refurbished by tech-savvy volunteers and given freely to individuals, veterans and families who cannot afford this technology) are just two of several programs that RSVP provides free of charge to seniors and families in Suffolk County. On this GIVING TUESDAY, we hope you might consider a donation to RSVP Suffolk to help us continue these much-needed services. Donations can be sent to RSVP Suffolk at 811 W. Jericho Turnpike, Suite 103W, Smithtown, NY 11787 or go to our website at rsvpsuffolk.org. Thank you so much for your generosity! See more
