Stone top bench I made for a good customer! After proposing to his (now) wife, they came across this stone half buried in a creek bed. I believe it was a step for an old building because 5 sides were pretty nice but one had some character. (Probably meant to be hidden by the step above it) So that’s the side you see. I wanted it to be fairly minimalist but have a raw look. So I decided to use nice new 1 square stock and mitered everything to hide open ends, ground the flat welds with a coarse pad and then wiped everything down with linseed oil.
