Hank Stone's Rule The Roast

I'm very glad to see lots of new people viewing this page. However, I regret to inform you that Rule the Roast is on hiatus. Roast owner Bill Closson suffered a stroke back in May, and although the store continues to operate, certain things had to change. Hank's Tuesday open mic is no longer, although Fridays continue, with Justin and Eva.

It's been a while since I posted here - been making individual event pages instead - so let me update out fans: We are winding down our third season of Rule The Roast, April 19 brings a talented young trio, Pandafan, and singer/songwriter Debra Lynne. May 17 is another great trio, He Bird She Bird, and the duo Kristhen. We end the season on a high note with 2 of Long Island's finest songwriters (who happen to be married to each other), Martha Trachtenberg and Tom Griffith, on June 21.

Watch this space for imminent upcoming news... I can tell you part of it now: there will be no "Rule The Roast" in March, but the first week of April brings 4 exciting shows, as part of Patchogue's South By South Shore Festival... then April 20 is Rule The Roast #17, featuring Ira Perlman and Bob Westcott.
