On April 15 and 16, 2021, RAF was proud to partner with the Ryan Martin Foundation (RMF) and the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) to host an international online conference, "Wheelchair Basketball in the USA and Russia: Common Barriers and Benefits". Professional athletes and coaches from Russia were joined by Will Waller, President of the NWBA, and Ryan Martin, Vice President of the NWBA and President of RMF, for a discussion of how they came to wheelchair basketball and how to attract others to the sport. Sport Unites All (SUA) is a collaborative initiative of the Russian American Foundation and the Ryan Martin Foundation. SUA’s mission is to increase awareness of adaptive sports and fitness for all and to encourage individuals with physical disabilities in Russia to live more active and successful lives.
