Sabo Science Academy

We are thinking about running a Highschool Kayak, Biology & Nature Photography course all in one. While experiencing the flora & fauna of a local lake marsh, students would learn kayaking skills, take water samples for culturing (& viewing microscopically at a later date), do a nature study of the environment by sketching and diagraming what is seen and receive instruction in and do nature photography. The class would run about 2.5 - 3 hours long. This would cover the lab requirements for the first 2 labs of Apologia Biology and count as PE credit & art credit. Class size 3-4 students. $90 per class. Kayak included (or price reduced to $75 if your own is used). Camera is required (can be an iphone or a digital camera which must be transported in a waterproof bag). Feel free to ask questions. It will help us sort out details.
