Hello beloved community, As we approach the end of what has been an incredibly trying year for everybody, we have some updates and insights we want to share. Wh...en COVID first struck the cafe closed for 3 months in an effort to streamline and re-envision our business in a way that would continue to financially support our non-profit, Ophelia's Place. Since our re-opening, we've been met with so much love and support from our community, and for that we are eternally grateful. However with COVID cases rising in the county, the cafe has felt the impacts of this. In addition to the increased health risks to our staff and community, business has slowed to a point where we're facing operating at a loss. To put it into perspective: when we look at this year compared to last, the proceeds from the cafe to Ophelia's place have been impacted by -$25,000. Why do we share all of this so openly with you? In order to redirect our efforts towards finding new ways to keep Ophelia's Place going, our hearts regret to share that **Sunday, December 20th, will be the cafe's last day open until we get to the other side of COVID** We hope that between now and then we get to see you, serve you and thank you again for all your support over the last 9 months. We would be so grateful if you supported us in any of the following ways over the next 10 days: Tip till it hurts -- all of our tips go back to Ophelia's Place, and help to fill that $25,000 gap Stop in and buy a gift card now to use when we reopen Stop in and do some holiday shopping in our 'market' -- we've got housemade and local goodies that make sweet stocking stuffers!
