Valerie Thomas is an African American scientist and inventor best known for her patented illusion transmitter and contributions to NASA research! The Illusion Transmitter shows images like a TV does but displays them in the air instead of on a screen-- it is like having 3D without needing special glasses! This discovery helped in part to further our space exploration capabilities!
