MAY 19, 2021 SAINT GEORGE ACADEMY CELEBRATES THE STUDENTS! SGA continued remote studies throughout the 2020/2021 academic year, siding with safety and caution as this pandemic continued(s). SGA is very proud of its students at how well they adjusted to this temporary but new way of learning. ... Therefore, on Wednesday, May 19th, our Students, the Principal, Faculty, and Staff, with social distancing and masks, assembled in the auditorium for a day of recognition and celebration. The Junior’s received their Class of 2022 school rings that were blessed by our pastor of Saint George Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fr. Illja Bronovskyy, OSBM. The Principal, Mr. Stasiw recognized and distributed honor certificates to the students for this current school year, followed by introducing the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2021 as well as passing of the torch to the Class of 2022. It is very important to mention how well our students adapted to virtual learning with discipline and hard work this, out of the ordinary, school year, over 3/4 of the students received honors in at least one quarter. Our Saint George Academy Honor Society inducted 22 students this year for honors in at least 3 quarters. During this pandemic, the school’s achievement is measured by the success of all these students threading through unfamiliar waters and coming out on the other side stronger and educated. Congratulations to all the students of Saint George Academy on a job well done! We are proud of each and every one you.
