Diocesan News St. John's, Johnstown expanding community food programs with renovation project A years-long effort by the St. John’s Episcopal Church to expand its community programs in the former YMCA building next door are now months away from becoming a reality. The church bought the former YMCA building at 21 N. Market St. for $80,000 in 2013 and has since rebranded the building as One Church Street.... Rev. Laurie Garramone said the building was purchased with the intent of converting the three-story space into a community resource center where St. John’s growing community food programs could be housed.

Prayer for Church Growth Almighty God, renewer of life, whose word does not return empty but bears fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundredfold: Grant that, by the faithful preaching of your word... and the witness of your holy people, the ministry of this parish may increase, and that those who do not know you may come to the knowledge and love of you; through your incarnate Word, Jesus Christ, our Lord. LIVE STREAM ENDS: COFFEE HOUR RESUMES Dear parish family and friends of St. Michael's, I am grateful for the way that the Internet allowed us to maintain a sense of parish community virtually when many of us were unable to take the risk of gathering in person during the COVID-19 pandemic. At this point, however, both our civil and ecclesiastical authorities have lifted all restrictions, and it is both prudent and safe for us to resume gathering for worship in person.... For this reason, we will discontinue Sunday morning live streaming immediately. Please join us for the worship of God in Word and Sacrament this Sunday, July 4, and stay afterward if you like for our first in-person Coffee Hour since all this started.
