Success Academy Lafayette Middle School

My name is Adam Rosenberg and I am thrilled to be joining the LAMS community and the leadership team as the Assistant Principal. This will be my 8th year at Success Academy, and my 4th year as an AP. I'm coming to Lafayette from just a few blocks away, as I spent the last two years as the AP at SA Myrtle MS, where I was also a founding teacher back in 2018. I received a Bachelor's Degree from Ursinus College, a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania, and a Master's... of Education from Touro College here in New York. In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with family and friends, supporting my favorite sports teams , and relaxing with a good meal. I am looking forward to getting to know the entire school community, from staff, families, and, (of course) scholars, and working hard alongside one another this upcoming school year! #insidesuccess

Hello LAMS community! My name is Marina Raafat and I am the new principal at LAMS . I've been with SA for 7 years in both middle school and elementary school. I taught 5th and 6th Humanities and managed middle school as an AP. I am beyond excited to join the LAMS community! I was born in Egypt and came to the United States with my family when I was 7 years old. I grew up in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and attended CUNY Brooklyn for my undergraduate degree in History and Secondary Education. I received my masters degree from CUNY Hunter College in Special Education . I am so excited to return in person and welcome back all our lovely scholars and families. I am eager to get to know each one of you and work toward a successful academic year! #insidesuccess

I'm Ms. Thomas, the new Business Operations Manager at SA-LAMS . I've been with SA for 5 years and I am very excited to join the LAMS Community ! I'm Brooklyn born and raised, attended CUNY Brooklyn College for my undergraduate degree , and recently returned for my graduate degree . Working at SA has given me the opportunity to build and cultivate strong relationships with our families and scholars that I truly cherish. I am always available in the Main Office, via phone, or email as a resource, especially as a mom of two teenagers in middle school myself. I look forward to working alongside you and your scholars for a productive and joyful school year. #insidesuccess
