Tax Year 2020 For those who take the standard deduction: You are now allowed to deduct up to $300 in charitable contributions. This does not apply to Itemized deductions. For those who Itemize, you are allowed to deduct more than $300 in charitable contributions. Charitable contributions must be made to qualifying organizations by December 31, 2020; FYI, this is not an automatic deduction, you must have proof of your charitable contributions.
