A gorgeous violin bow crafted by Dominique Peccatte circa 1860. The bow is in pristine condition and still has the original lapping. It has that strong flexibility that Peccattes are known for and plays exceptionally well. Owned by a well known player and pedagogue, this bow has been part of an important collection. It happens rarely, but once in a while, a bow made by Isaac Salchow returns to the shop to be sold. . This example, which was copied from one of Isaac’s favorite Pajeot bows, was made just prior to 2000 for a young soloist. It plays like an old bow and draws real colors from the instrument.
