Advent Bible Study, tonight at 7pm. All are welcome, to attend. Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Moss, will be teaching tonight's bible study and here are the questions for reflection: "Names For The Messiah by Walter Brueggemann... Isaiah 9:6 1. The author says all opponents of Jesus were agents of death. Name examples where Jesus resisted the powers of death. 2. Jesus makes the statement my kingdom is not from this world in John 18:36. What do you think it means regarding Jesus’ power and authority? 3. Jesus gave His disciples the authority to cure the sick. Have you ever felt or practiced this authority? 4. How do you see the church displaying the power of God today?

Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. During the American Civil War, she served as an armed scout and spy for the Union Army. In her later years, Tubman was an activist in the movement for women's suffrage.
