The sensationalist claims that The Salvation Army has entered a political war are simply not true. Please see our response here: http://ow.ly/n0KO50GXzQJ

$25/month helps vulnerable families buy groceries, pay bills, make rent, and maintain the stability of a roof overhead. Join the $25 difference and help an 8-year-old have a bed to sleep in every night. salarmy.us/emp25... #NationalSalvationArmyWeek #HeroOfHope
It’s officially #NationalSalvationArmyWeek and it’s extra important this year. We are focusing on raising awareness around the emergence of pandemic poverty. Pandemic poverty refers to the vast number of Americans who have been pushed right to the edge of poverty because of COVID-19 and are just one missed bill away from slipping into homelessness and despair. In an effort to combat pandemic poverty we are encouraging you to setup a $25 monthly donation to prevent your community members from succumbing to poverty. You can give here: salarmy.us/emp25
It’s been a year since lockdown was announced and we have come so far. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to: Serve 684,613 individuals across the Empire State Division Provide 438,148 food boxes, equal to 15,133,131 meals Provide 100,723 nights of shelter... We saw a massive increased need for our services with COVID-19 and we were able to meet them because of the generous hearts that gave to The Salvation Army. The need is still there. Every little bit helps us continue to serve. Head over to bit.ly/empcovid to donate.
Mental health has been a struggle since the onset of the pandemic. Donna, like many others, came to The Salvation Army in search of help and was connected with teletherapy services to get back on track. Share her story so others struggling with mental health can get the help they need. http://ow.ly/Decz50DXClF
With fewer kettles and 150% more people in need this Christmas season, we are calling on everyone to give $20 today, December 20th. $20 will make Christmas happen this year for a family in our area. You can give $20 today in one of these ways: 1. Drop $20 in a red kettle near you! 2. Tell your Amazon Echo, "Alexa, donate $20 to The Salvation Army"... 3. Text "kettle" to 91999 4. When hopelessness is in somebody’s mind, it is just so hard for anyone to take a step. So when we are able to provide a little hope and then they start generating their own hope, amazing things happen,-Lt. Bree Barker, Saratoga Springs It’s our Day of Hope and we have a really special story to share. This is Shanticia Ferguson’s story of hope which made national headlines on TODAY. https://easternusa.salvationarmy.org//breaking-the-povert/
