CW: abuse, pwr bttm Besides the obvious privilege I move through my everyday life with, I am very privileged to be a contributing member to so many other peopl...e's art. Even more so considering I get to do so without ever having to share the stage or put very much of myself out there. A huge part of that is fostering a space, in my studio and home, that makes people feel safer. Safer to exist and to express themselves and that is something I want to do regardless of whether I produce records or not. That being said, in light of these recent events, I feel so proud to be a part of a community that stands with the survivors. I feel hurt for everyone who invested themselves in this project or aligned themselves with it. I feel for the people who believed in this music and message (I'm 100% one of them) and I feel disgust and betrayal at the idea that someone's actions have undermined that. Please do the right thing. Always be true to yourself, always protect those that need you. Thank you for being brave enough to come forward. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my feelings about this. I want to be able to listen to your feelings about this. My door is always open.
