Due to unforeseen circumstances, Christian's family is looking to rehome him. He will be staying with his family until they can find him a suitable home. He can...not go to a home with young children. Christian the gentle giant. 5 year old neutered purebred male German Shepherd. Raised with female dogs of all sizes and ages. Loves his crate, not high strung, never been a chewer, does not jump on people, wonderful with food/bones, does not dig holes and non destructive. Housetrained and a good boy. Needy, sweet personality and loves to be with people. Enjoys hiking, car rides, chasing his ball and swimming. For more information on adoption, contact Kelley at 716-771-8401.

Update on Sully! Sully will be neutered next Friday, then he will be ready to start looking for his home. Sully is estimated to be 2 years old. He would prefer ...a home with no other dogs, kids or cats. His most favorite thing is playing ball! For more information about Sully, contact his foster, Josette at [email protected]. To learn about our adoption process, please go to our website www.gsdrescueupstateny.org.

I believe sweet Angus has a forever home now! He will be leaving is this weekend but wont be going far. We may still be placing his brother Ian soon so maybe the others that were interested in Angus would be ok with Ian. As soon as we are ready ill get his pic and info up.

Angus is such a sweet boy. He is 5 months old. House broke, crate trained, utd on shots, microchipped, limited Akc registration. He had carpal hyperextension in... the front feet. He wears support braces for now for extra support and is on supplements per his vet. Other than the feet he is very healthy and a a very happy pup. We are in need of an immediate foster or adopter for him. With Travis needing round the clock care it is impossible for us to give this little guy what he needs never mind trying to socialize him. Please share and if anyone is interested PM me. See more

Still looking for a foster/ adopter for Angus. I have even had someone reach out to say they would sponsor him in a foster home meaning help pay for food and ve...t bills. He is such a sweet boy and really needs someone to take care of him. We are doing our best but its not enough for a pup. He gets along with dogs and cats and kids but playing with them will have to be monitored and in short spurts. Let me know if anyone is interested See more

Update- Sorry should have added some info. There are no allergies and we eat just about anything. We live in walworth ny so anyone can google restaurants near... us. There is marks, salvatores, bill grays and several others in Penfield and webster. We are a family of 6. Locals we love a home cooked meal as well! I have many still asking what they can do to help us. As hard as it is to continue to ask, we can always use financial donations. We were able to get him an electric recliner so that he can be with us in the living room and be comfortable. We were able to purchase bed protectors and extra sheets and blankets, we got him new cloths as he went from small to large in a rather quick time from all the steroids he is on. We have help coming such as a wheel chair ramp to be able to get him out to apts much easier, we have a lift coming to help move him easier, we now have a nurse that comes once a week and they are working on getting us an aid to help with daily tasks. He has declined at such a rapid pace our heads are spinning and almost daily we realize we need other things to help us. He is wheel chair bound already in the course of about 3 weeks. So if anyone feels like doing anything, we can always use money and dinners. Dinners are super helpful. We become so exhausted by evening it so difficult to decide what to have and then usually running out to get the odd things needed for that meal. Anyway so sorry I am not very communicative these days I know you all understand. I can not even begin to say just how difficult this all is. Many days I can not even wrap my head it to even know what we need or notice I haven't showered in 3 days and today I haven't even eaten but I am going to get something shortly. Do not be afraid to reach out either here, messenger, or text if you have my number because I just don't realize that days go by and I have spoke to no one.

Angus is no longer available. Unfortunately he has developed an issue and we have him in a very quiet and wonderful foster home until such time he is healthy again. Once he is better the foster family will get first dibs and become foster failures lol. Should they opt to not keep him we will then search for a home. That will not likely happen for a few months. Got up late... 7 am gotta get... breakfast ready... 15 puppy bowls and 4 adults. Walk to the barn through the rain ugh cant stop coughing. Get the adults fed and let pups out to eat... go in to clean the castle and find a multitude of collars all over the pen... SHIT!! WTF do i do now! I can tell several apart but not all 15.... well lets give our best shot. I think you are light pink You are gray You are dark purple You are orange You are yellow And on and on Ok playtime is on everyone is crazy and i sit with my feet pulled up ... you know because i value my ankles! I get the rav bedded and ready loading was actually easy they traveled very well! They unloaded easy and followed me right to the holding area... remember its raining and raining. Its wet damp and muddy. Molly gets her lesson and the pups watch. All the pups go in with the sheep. The girls do well the boys cry. Haha boys!! Sheep go up and the ducks come out... Rupert decided he is gonna squeeze through the gate to the other field... oh boy he thought it was the end of world and carried on like an eagle swooped down and grabbed him! Took a few minutes but he made it back in. Jenny and Clair tag team the ducks. One is super slow and they had way too much fun. Rupert decides he wants to play and tackles Jenny... Rupert she is gonna kick your ass... she is a working girl ya know and there is a duck to catch!! The pups we so wet and muddy and they didnt care at all and the back of the Rav looks like a mud slide went through it. They all slept the entire ride home. Get home put them to bed and lay down. Ok deep breath.. cough hack hack cough wtf... i sort pups... 7 in the inside pen... the other 8 to the barn. I look at the ones in the inside pen and my heart melts.. my sweet vicious bastard babies are leaving me tomorrow and my heart is heavy. I love them so so much! The other 8 follow me right out to the barn good as gold.. they head in the pen like the good kids on the block... yup there’s my angle babies! I come in clean and mop and sit down its 9:30... what a long day but a joyful one. My heart and sole is in each and every outlander baby and i will miss them!!

My purchase of a well bred purebred did not sentence another dog to death. My purchase of a well bred purebred did not cause an increase in the number of dogs i...n shelter. Me wanting a dog with a predictable temperament from healthy lineage did not cause another dog to not get adopted. My meticulous research and support of only the most responsible of breeders is not the problem. It is not what you should be mad at. It is not what you should be pushing the blame onto. I am not the one who brought these dogs into the world irresponsibly and left them in a shelter. Responsible breeders are not the ones who put dogs into shelters either. It is my home, my life, and my choice of what kind of dog to bring into it. Maybe I needed a working dog, a sport dog, or simply a companion puppy to raise of a breed I enjoy. No matter the reason, my choice to support a reputable breeder did not send a shelter dog to its death. A breeder who health tests, temperament tests, studies pedigrees, proves a dog worthy of being bred, and only breeds when doing so is of benefit to the breed is not contributing to the number of homeless dogs. The number of homeless dogs in the world is a problem, but it is not a problem exacerbated by reputable breeders and those who purchase from them. Your neighbor down the street who refuses to contain his unaltered dogs IS contributing to the problem. Your friend who impulse bought a dog at PetLand IS contributing to the problem. That guy on Craigslist pumping out the trendiest designer mix as fast as he can IS contributing to the problem. Your relative who just HAS to let their dog have one litter so she can experience motherhood or because she’s just so sweet IS contributing to the problem. Your old high school classmate who bought a high energy working breed without taking the time to research its needs and realize it was not a good fit for their household ahead of time IS contributing to the problem. A reputable breeder offers their lifelong support. A reputable breeder would never allow their dogs to end up in a shelter to begin with. A reputable breeder makes it a contractual obligation to return dogs they have produced back to them should you find yourself unable of keeping it. It is understandable to be angry about the number of homeless dogs in the world, but if you take a deeper look, you will find your anger is misplaced. If you take a deeper look, you will find reputable breeders and those of us who purchase from them are just as angry, we are just pointing fingers at the right causes. *Photo related: Jestful meme poking fun at this thought process using a purebred of my own*

Outlander adventure 108 The clan is growing fast and getting big. A new castle was warranted this week.. an upgrade for more space. They outgrew the other one. ...Fights were breaking out, poop was over flowing the potty boxes, pads were being shredded and they are all little raptor nuggets now as my ankles and pants can attest to. We moved into the new castle and spent the first night there last night and even Molly decided she wanted to sleep in it. Not real sure why or how she survived the uprising i am sure ensued. She has her elevated bed a good 2 feet off the ground for safety so i image she utilized it. So i go out this morning and while ALL but 2 pups pooped in the shavings in the back I believe everyone of them peed on one of the 2 blankets. I know this because i picked it and shook it all at the same time... and MY FACE got coverd in wetness ... WTF yup the blanket was saturated with urine!!! The matts were wet the toys were wet... OMG! Big sigh... deep breaths... wipe the face and hands with baby wipe.... roll up the sleeves and lets go... Pups go back into the old castle which many were quite happy about. I go to the new gut it, clean and hose it down.. there now just let it dry and put it back together and return the pups. I put the big ones in that pen to run for a while, pottied the littles, and go upstairs to start the laundry... 3 days worth!! I eat and shower... yes I actually got a shower! Wait.... whats that i hear... oh yeah the little jack asses... i mean sweet angels are KILLING each other............... soooooo... I kicked them out onto the porch now they can run the porch and the big pen for a while... Now on to my to do list: Laundry Clean downstairs crib Clean and mop downstairs floor Feed the birds Feed the littles Finish the kitchen Work on puppy kits Work on compiling resources for puppy kits Clean poop from porch and pen Clean outdoor kennel ( sadly been neglected and MUST be done) Let big ones out Give gracie and Ian their meds Schedule puppy visits Answer puppy families texts Maybe eat??? Im tired but still love my outlander nuggets so so much!!
