It is finally here! Tomorrow is Christmas! It is heart warming to know that 48 families are going to have amazing gifts under their tree because of Santa Hat Society and it’s many many elves. Thank you to the Dansville Rotary Club #4771 ! This is such an amazing group of men and women! You may see them cooking and delivering free meals at Thanksgiving, flipping burgers at the Balloon Festival to raise money to donate back to charitable causes in our community, or even planning basketball tournaments to trivia nights. Their motto is Service Above Self. Santa Hat Society is extremely thankful for their monetary donation to purchase toys for children that are suf...fering unimaginable circumstances. We promise that all the toys you donate go to the most wonderful and grateful children. We also cannot let this opportunity go without congratulating Larry and Mary Ann Gressinger Merle for celebrating 25 years in business. That is such a great accomplishment! They are more than just construction, they are philanthropists that continuously give back to their c...ommunity and surrounding areas. Congratulations to Nicole Shay Richardson of Canisteo, NY! Her niece, Kaitlyn Margaret, volunteered to provide free delivery to her today. With the winning bid of $350, the leg lamp generated $6,115 for the Santa Hat Society. It’s A Major Award! This leg lamp lawn ornament has been moved from house to house all over Dansville in the past few months. Help us find it a permanent home! This Friday night, December 18th at 6:00 PM until Saturday morning, December 19th at 10:00 AM, the Major Award will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Bids will be accepted via private message on the Santa Hat Society Facebook page or via text to 585-734-1432. We will update the current highest bid periodically... on this post. Own this icon, representing the American classic movie, A Christmas Story. Product Description: This is a wood product and stands five feet tall. It was hand drawn, cut out, sanded by hand, and hand painted with Premiere acrylic paints. The back is painted black. It is made out of 1/2 inch MDO sign board. This is a special product that is specifically made for outdoor use. It is more expensive than plywood or corrugated plastic but will easily withstand wind, rain and snow. Sealed with 3 coats of a clear matte finish so there is no shine when using a spotlight.

Santa Hat Society is thankful for ESL Federal Credit Union, Geneseo Branch! The employees of the branch voted to award Santa Hat Society with the Purpose Advocates Recognition Grant.
