Update from The Chequit: We are open! Dear Guests, Neighbors and Friends: The Chequit is thrilled to announce that we are taking reservations for Summer 2021. ...This past winter, our new owners embarked on a critical restoration of the main house which is slated to finish later this year. Our Summer Housejust across the wayoffers 10 lovely guest rooms and one suite with a sitting room and private porch. All rooms offer comfy, king-sized beds with luxurious Frette linens, towels and bathrobes, smartly appointed bathrooms with Malin+Geotz products and essentials like WiFi and a window AC. Coming in July, one portion of the main building is being reserved for the café which will serve coffees, teas, pastries, wine and beer to be enjoyed on the patio or to-go. Oh, if you’re curious about the fish in our new logo, they are weakfish, a species that has been integral to life on the island since time immemorial. The Indigenous islanders called them chequit. We look forward to welcoming you once again to our little lookout on the rock. More updates to come as the main building comes back online in the next few months. We partnered with The Giving Room to offer Free yoga for kids @ Santa’s!!! Please register in advance so we can prepare!

Come out for a fun night that supports our amazing Fire Department!!! Last year was very hard on a lot of organizations that lost their fundraising events, these movie nights go a long way in helping them. I am forever grateful for their Santa Parade through the neighborhoods, my children made me follow them! It was magical! We will have beer/wine and oysters for sale with all proceeds going to the Cutchogue Fire Department. Please buy your tickets in advance!

Skating will continue with our off season hours: Mon-Fri 2-6, Sat-Sun 10-6. $10 per person to skate and it includes rentals. We offer a yearly pass for $150 and that includes the bouncy houses that will go back up in the spring. Girl Scout and Boy Scout Troops skate free and can use the tables at Santa’s to meet and work on patches. School groups have been coming and it has been a lot of fun so message us if you want to schedule a time. We have had many birthday parties, some... come during regular business hours but if you would like a private party after hours message us. The fire pits will continue to be lit and we have hot chocolate!! *This is a synthetic rink, not real ice* We have ordered booties to go over shoes for parents who don’t want to skate but want to assist their children.

Newest Update!!!!! We have decided to close the rink, it is pouring outside and doesn’t seem like it will get better. Santa is still here, hot chocolate, cider and popcorn.

*UPDATE* so far we are still opening ice skating today.... Santa will still come at 10am, if the weather gets really bad we will have to close activities. Bouncy houses will not be up, hot chocolate, cider and popcorn will be on the front porch under the overhang. Thank you for understanding!!!

Tomorrow's weather looks like rain....I won't cancel outside activities until I see the weather in the morning. I will post an update at 8:30 am, if it is a light rain Santa can be on our front porch but if it is a heavy rain I will have to cancel. We are very low on trees, we have about 150 pre cut Frasier Firs left and they are about 6.5 feet and below. Our field cut your own trees have been pretty picked over but if you are looking for a 5 foot tree there are more of those. We will still have the shop open 7 days a week and Ice skating, Santa, bounces, s'mores, popcorn and hot chocolate following a schedule.

Skating will continue 10-6 through Sunday then back to regular hours: Saturday and Sunday 10-6, M-F 3-6 weather permitting. If it is raining we cannot open because the inside of the skates get very wet. ***this is not real ice... it is synthetic*** we are a Christmas Tree farm offering a fun experience not an ice skating facility. 95% have a great time skating and 5% hate it! It is $10 cash per person to skate and that includes rentals all day. There are no refunds because w...e still have to sharpen the blades and sanitize the inside and outside of the skates. It takes a bit to warm up your skates to glide, families that come often are zipping around and loving it. We decided to keep the farm open after the season because local families come everyday for a safe place to play outside. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and schools come to enjoy the farm. If you are looking for the full experience of Bouncy houses, music and the store then come in the spring when we have baby animals and everything is open again! If you want to just hang out at the farm with your family and sit by the fire, see the animals, play on the train and possibly skate then come over! See more
