An amazing thing about elopements is they can be changed on the fly if needed. If things are running behind, the location can be shifted to make the day stay smooth and easy. This wasn’t the original ceremony spot for Bere and Sam, but it was still beautiful, intimate, and special.
After postponing last year, we finally got to celebrate Leann and Eric yesterday on the beach. It was emotional and joyful and so much fun (there was a Coney Island Sideshow involved). Congratulations you two!
The final song of the night, the whole dance floor begins to fill with your loved ones circling up in a giant hug, and they push you into the middle to dance surrounded by all the love.
I had such a wonderful time running around downtown with Saika and Frank this weekend. They had a tiny virtual elopement last winter and now wanted photos together in their neighborhood to commemorate their marriage. We hit up lots of spots that are significant to them, including their home and their office where they met.
Emily and Matt the sweetest but they have the meanest moves on the dance floor. Their wedding yesterday was an absolute blast. See some more sneak peeks in my stories (including an epic shot from the end of the night dance party).
Traveling this week and missed the actual anniversary, but this week marks one year from my first photo session/wedding I took on after the complete shutdown. It was the most beautiful and special way to come out of such dark months. Happy anniversary Allison and Paul!
Finished out last weekend with this lovely little elopement for Bethany and Conor. I can’t get enough of intimate celebrations.
Still feeling the high from so much love this weekend. A beautiful way to kick off the summer.
Reschedules, closed venue, lots of ups and downs, but Virginia and Matt finally made it here and it was just an absolutely wonderful weekend. I feel so honored to have helped them capture it all. Congratulations you two!!
One of the best parts about an engagement session is getting to know a couple and getting comfortable together before a wedding day. It also gives me a peek into their life together that can help shape wedding photos in a way that is more meaningful. Had so much fun this week with Senait and Raja and can’t wait for their wedding this summer.
Such a gift to document the journeys. Headed back out to NJ this week to meet baby Wyatt...swipe to the end to see the last time I was there.
So worth getting up early yesterday morning to hang with these 3 in a beautiful Prospect Park. Loved seeing the early morning dog parade together and wrapping up our session before the days heat really set in. I had a blast with them! More sneak peeks to come in my stories this week!
Had so much fun with these two yesterday. After a lot of changes and adjustments to plans over the past year we were finally able to do the damn thing. More sneak peeks to come.
As the weather stays below freezing and more snow is on the way in the coming week+, I’ve been spending a lot of time dreaming of the beach. Dreaming of Jamaica destination weddings, trips to my beloved Yelapa, Mexico and @miramaryelapa.... and making plans to hit up as many beaches as possible once it’s safe to do so.
Yesterday a friend and I hosted a virtual baby shower for these lovely humans. Last week I had the honor of capturing this unique, wonderful, crazy time in their lives. I’m grateful for our 12 years of friendship, for the meals we’ve shared, so many laughs, for sharing this strange year together in a Covid pod. I can’t wait to watch you two become parents and take on this next big adventure. So much love.
How I’m feeling this week. Prepping for a super fun virtual baby shower for friends, painting our living room, making Detroit-style pizza, gettin’ ready to watch my team play in the Super Bowl for the second year in a row...it’s been a pretty great snow week. (Pic of the always glorious and joyful @bonniefromwork )
NYC’s first big snowstorm in years? The perfect excuse for dancing in the cold. Bere and Sam were troopers through the super cold for their engagement session this weekend.
Another one from the archives: Amy, just after getting dressed, is a work of art. Amy and Ted decided to get ready together on the day of their wedding. I love when couples do this. They got to spend the morning together, they helped each other with finishing touches, the whole thing was intimate and lovely. It was a gift to be in the room with them to capture these moments.
Anyone else spend a good chunk of winter days dreaming about rosy warm weather?
Slow, cold January =throwing it back to some old work. Yelena and Taj eloped at City Hall with some serious style.
A little help from mom.
I think the thing I’ve missed most this year is crowded dance floor moments. Small weddings and elopements are perfect and a joy to be a part of, but one day I hope we all can feel safe dancing together again.
The look when you first see your wedding team and they slayed it. Swipe to see on of the best dressed wedding crews I’ve ever seen.
