If you told me how many times my Mom used to check on me after I fell asleep at night when I was a little girl, I would never believe you. My heart couldn’t swell anymore than to watch my boys sleep so peacefully at night. Those last check ins before you turn everything off before you go to sleep. What other mommas pause to soak in their littleness while they sleep? I fall in love with them over and over and I think maybe just one more.... and then the next day they cra...wl up and down me, telling me that they don’t like lucky charms today but they will like it tomorrow, tackling me in some sort of headlock move (my two year old) the minute I sit down, make slurpy noises in their milk, fight with each other with every second of their free time, the list goes on. But I wouldn’t trade it for a thing. These two little loves of mine were meant for me. The bear hugs I received today wiped away all the anxiety that I had today. But seriously my two year old has this strength when he hugs you that your head might pop off. Tuesday, thank God you are over

This day! I have to share more sneak peeks from this day. These two were simply meant for each other and I'm always honored to be the third wheel and hang with my brides and grooms for the day. I get a front seat to witness the first day of the rest of their lives. Congratulations Jacob and Jamie!

Let’s hear it for the Dads!!! The ones who show up every single day, the ones who have several jobs to support the family, the ones who never stop working on themselves to be the best role models they can be, the ones who might not know how to be a good dad but they still try, the ones who aren’t a biological Dad but find themselves stepping into that role with love and even the ones who aren’t here with us today. So many great Dads out there and it’s not an easy job but it’s an important one. Happy Father’s Day!!

Wishing these two a happy anniversary!! How has it already been a year?! Sam and Joel made things official and got married last year with a small intimate wedding in their backyard. There is no right or wrong way to plan your wedding these days and honestly, making it personalized and having to get creative this past year with the pandemic, it seemingly made us look past all the fluff and really focus on what matters most. They kept it simple and simply about them. But ...this isn’t the end of their wedding story. This year they were able to get creative all over again and I was thrilled when I heard what they had planned. Yet another amazing aspect of being a photographer is being on the inside of all the fun wedding details and being a part of the planning. This is a group of really fun people which makes my job so enjoyable. I will spend the day with Sam, Joel and their bridal party (who were left out on their wedding day last year). They picked a few locations to take formal pictures at (that are meaningful to them) and I’m already counting down the days to hang out and celebrate with them and their crew!!

Loved catching up with these two tonight! Two more months until their wedding and it makes my heart so happy to hear how they are pulling in so many important details to completely personalize their wedding to be all about them. I’m so excited to see it all come together for their big day! We were talking about an old car for pictures, flower girls pulling the ring bearer in a wagon, corn hole games for the guests and having his cousin officiate their wedding!

I’m back!!!! I’ve been without my cell phone for a few days now. If you have messaged me and have not heard back please message me again. Lesson #1 - do not leave your cell phone in your car rental at drop off in the Orlando airport. Lesson #2 - this is your friendly reminder to make the time tonight to back up all of your photos on your phone. Cell phones can be replaced but pictures/memories cannot. ... Lesson #3 - good people are still out there. For some reason, I caught a break on this one. An amazing enterprise rent a car employee handed in my phone to their lost and found on Sunday. Today it arrived in the most beautiful small brown box on my porch. You better believe I prayed hard these past couple of days. Feeling very lucky today!

Have I mentioned that I have two toddler boys who are wild, energetic and a whole lotta fun? Have I also mentioned how I feel that is a bonus when you choose your family photographer to be a fellow Mom herself? This absolutely works in your favor because there is so much that is already relatable in our sessions. Hope you don’t think I’ve never seen a toddler meltdown until your session because chances are, both of my boys most likely had a fit because I gave them a cup o...f juice in the green cup and not the blue cup. So please don’t apologize for when your kiddo needs a moment, I get it. I also understand how much work it is getting the whole family out the door on time for family pictures and on average there are about five more trips of running back into the house for something you forgot. I also know how quickly you can lose the attention of your little ones too. So we play games. Yep! It’s all built into getting those natural reactions and showing that connection which is my favorite. Who can relate to any of this? Also, what do you look for in a family photographer?

If you ask me this question, it will always be yes! Yes - you should absolutely do an extended family session. I’m thrilled to see the number of inquiries increase this year for extended family sessions. This is important. Family photos are SO important. So if the whole crew is around for a weekend in the future, have someone coordinate outfits like this family and make those photos happen! PS - this was a Mother’s Day gift for Grandma and actually taken in their backyard too! You can totally keep it simple.

I love seeing our social media pages being flooded with appreciation and thanks to those who lost their lives for our freedoms. This Memorial Day weekend always hits me hard. I’m beyond humbled and thankful for the sacrifices some have made so we can count our blessings every single day

Just your favorite photographer here to send a friendly reminder to Take The Damn Picture!! I don’t care if you don’t have makeup on, I don’t care if you look tired and I really don’t care if it’s not the perfect background. I don’t care if you feel like you look big and I also don’t care if the lighting isn’t right. I’m talking about when you are with family or friends and someone wants to soak up that moment and pulls out their phone or camera to take the picture. How a...bout this? Be thrilled that someone wants you in that picture. Someone wants to capture you the way you are. This was something that was hard for me to do being a first time mom. I was on the struggle bus during those newborn months which turned into a year for my first born. So I avoided the pictures because I didn’t shower, didn’t have makeup on and looked tired. But guess what, now looking back, I would actually be thrilled to have had those real and raw moments for myself and my kids to look back on. We had newborn pictures in the studio with both of our babies. I’m sad to say that I opted out of even professional pictures holding my babies because I didn’t feel or look my best. This makes me sad. My heart hurts a little bit today too in a happy but sad way. My clients have always been so forthcoming with feedback on their photos - they love their photos and more importantly they love working with me and the way I make make their family feel. This time I received the sweetest message late last night thanking me for taking pictures of their family last summer because sometimes pictures are all you have of someone after the time has passed. Oh my heart!! I’ve had too many reminders now which is why I’m also sharing with you all. Get in the picture! Soak up that moment you are a part of! Don’t hide out in the back - give a cheesy ass grin as something to smile about years down the road. I’m proud of all of my we haven’t taken family pictures in years clients. Yes! It’s time. I’m also proud of my repeat clients who have so many important things happening in a matter of a year who just want to document it all. You know who else I’m proud of? The moms who have the biggest smile on their face in photos they don’t feel their best in - we belong in our family photos as we are. You’re welcome.
