She had so much fun doing what she loves to do for so many families that we wanted to share a few images from the shoot. This great couple got married 12 years ago on Fire Island and the last photo Sarah captured was taken in front of the house where they spent their honeymoon. Talk about full circle! The shoot bega...n in Ocean Beach, Fire Island - They started photos inland before heading up to the beach. Family beach shoots are one of Sarah’s favorite kinds of photo shoots to do. I love the sheer delight and happiness on a child’s face as he or she runs on the beach and plays in the ever-changing ocean and on the biggest playground of all. 10 YEARS OF PRIDE FROM CITY HALL AND LEGALIZING GAY MARRIAGE TO PRIDE MONTH JUNE2021. WE WANTED TO SHARE THIS AMAZING HISTORICAL MOMENT CAUGHT BY SARAH MERIANS in 2011 It was July 24th, 2011, when our studio received the amazing news that gay marriage would become legalized in the state of New York! Thousands of couples were flocking down to City Hall to get married! How could Sarah not grab her camera and go downtown and capture such a historic event? After all we are in... the business of capturing weddings. We believe in the sentiments spread across social media that Love wins and Love is love. Our amazing sales director, Lisa Brophy hopped in a taxi with Sarah and headed downtown to capture this magical day. Lisa’s college friend Paige worked for CBS and joined us with a camera crew as we all captured incredible footage of all the love, sheer joy, and happiness that day ten years ago. This is the last day of pride month and a perfect opportunity to share these photos again, ten years later. Every month should be Pride month! As you look through Sarah’s images, we hope you enjoy them. They capture each couple’s unique style and so much energy and fun. You will see that it does not matter how old you are, the color of your skin, your religion, and any other differences when it comes to love. LOVE ISN’T CANCELLED When Covid 19 hit our Country back in March it halted our special events and all wedding celebrations. It became apparent by early May that although all our events were postponed till next year or till this pandemic is safe for all that love isn’t cancelled. Our brides and grooms found their own personal way to celebrate their love even if they could not be in a room with 200 of their family and friends to dance and celebrate the night away. It seems ...as if nothing will stop a couple in love from getting married! Weddings of under 20 people are happening! We have captured these intimate weddings at family homes in backyards, country clubs, churches and restaurants and Manhattan apartments with just a couple, their Rabbi and Zoom. We have seen so many silver linings at this very difficult time. Family pets are now one of the invited guests and make the headcount for these small celebrations also sharing the love and adding a personal touch to the wedding. Technology has allowed for many more family and friends to share in the couple’s love even though they are not with them and can only share virtual hugs and love. Many family and friends may have not made the celebration before all this craziness and can now carve out a time to sit in front of their computer in the comfort of their home and just enjoy from afar.and show up for you! Enjoy some of these highlighted moments as we all adapt to this new normal. It is so great to see all the joy still happening even if the celebrations are a dinner of 10 at a favorite Upper East side restaurant or private home in the backyard. #loveisntcancelled See more

Amazing day on Friday 9-25-20 for Danielle and David as they were married in upstate area by Stony Point for the church and then onto the Pearl River Hilton for a 50 person celebration! Another incredible celebration and Mitzvah yesterday for Isaac and Oscar on their B’Nai Mitzvah on Fire Island!!!! The pandemic can take away large parties for now... but it can’t take away the pride, love and joy shared by all our Mitzvah families for their brave and adaptable children! There are many silver linings if we look for them! I particularly like all the family pets in my photos and with a more personal ZOOM experience family and friends can feel like the...y are in your home too.
