Saranac Lake Skate Path

Volunteers have worked hard to clear paths on Lake Colby for the return of the Adirondack Health Skate Lake Colby and Ice Sport Demos event during the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival! Come join the fun on 2/2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! New this year, we'll have skate and kicksled races from 2-3 p.m.! Refreshments will be available from Paul Smith's College Boosters. Bring your ice skates or try out other ice sports provided by Human Power Planet Earth!

How cool is this?! Ice skating through the woods. Which trail in Saranac Lake do you think would make a good ice skate trail?

Join us at our next Saranac Lake Skate Path meeting on Wednesday, 2/27 from 3:30-5:30pm at the Saranac Lake Free Library's Basement Reading Room. We'll debrief about our event during the winter carnival and discuss next steps with pitching our winter long skate path idea to the necessary organizations in hopes for that to become a reality next winter.
