Saratoga Springs Little League

Lots of solid things to report... First, the 12s have clinched a spot in the District 11/12 Championship Series. Second, the 10s also clinched a spot in the District 11/12 Championship Series with a win over Rotterdam last night. And finally, the 11s got off to a great start, also with a win over Rotterdam last night. The 10s are in action at home tonight against Mechanicville at 8pm. The 12s are also in action, but away, 6pm in Mechanicville. Last night for the 10s, the top ...5 players in the lineup combined for 16 hits, 14 RBI and 13 runs. Jude Miller 4 for 4, 4 RBI, 1 run and a walk. Cody Nacua-Saum 4 for 5, 3 RBI, 4 runs. Jaxon Brahler 3 for 4, 3 RBI, 3 runs and a walk. Knox Redman 3 for 5, 3 RBI, 2 runs. Gavin Murphy 2 for 5, 1 RBI, 3 runs. Francisco Cupp and Sam Cioni added hits for a total of 18 on the night. Knox Redman pitched a solid 3 innings, surrendering only 2 runs, 0 earned with 4 Ks. Francisco Cupp closed the game out in the 4th. For the 11s, Ben Isenovski collected 2 hits (back to back triples), 2 RBI and 2 runs. Liam Creager went 2 for 2 with 2 walks and scored 4 times. Jack Sidney, Bryce More and Justin Lehntini also picked up a hit and drove in runs. On the mound More, Derek Ogniewski and Isenovski combined to pitch a shutout. More got the start, went 3.2 innings, gave up only 2 hits, walked none and struck out 7. Ogniewski and Isenovski completed the final 2.1, striking out 3 each with no hits. 11s have been itching to get started, and they finally do tonight, at home, 7pm against Rotterdam/Carman. 12s and 10s both picked up important wins last night against Scotia/Glenville. The 10s are back in action tonight against Rotterdam/Carman in Rotterdam. Last night Jude Miller led the 10s with 3 hits, 5 RBI and 2 runs. Francisco Cupp, Ethan Booth, Knox Redman and Sam Cioni each contributed one hit and one RBI each. Jaxon Brahler and Cody Nacua-Saum combined to pitch a shu...tout in the 3 inning game. For the 12s, Palmer Tomkinson led the way, going 4 for 4 with 2 RBI and scoring twice. Ty Powell went 2 for 4 with 3 RBI. Daniel Brynczka, Grant Redman, Brian Selig and Eli Cameron also collected multiple hits and batted in runs. Grant Redman pitched 4 solid innings, surrendering only 4 hits and 2 unearned runs. Weslee Older closed it out in the 5th. Good luck tonight to the 11s and the 10s.

12s picked up a big 4 to 2 win over Mechanicville on Wednesday and are back in action tonight at home, 7pm start! On Wednesday, Brian Selig pitched a gem, striking out 11, giving up only 2 hits and 2 runs over 5 innings. Liam Hemsworth closed it out in the 6th, striking out the side. At the plate Hemsworth led the offense with 3 hits, 2 doubles and an RBI. Luke Dejnozka, Daniel Brynczka and Grant Redman added a hit and RBI each. Check em out at home tonight at 7pm.... 10s having been getting rained out and will try again tonight in Rotterdam.

Last night the 12s got a bounce back win and the 10s picked up their second. For the 12s, Ty Powell collected 3 hits and Daniel Brynczka had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Parker Mansfield, Luke Dejnozka, Brian Selig, Eli Cameron and Michael Todtenhagen also collected multiple hits each. On the mound Luke Dejnozka, Daniel Brynczka and Weslee Older combined to strike out 9 and only surrendered 2 runs. The 10s collected 19 runs on 16 hits. Jude Miller had 5 RBI, Jaxon Brahler had 4 and Etha...n Booth had 3. Brahler, Gavin Murphy and Francisco Cupp had 3 hits each. On the mound Jude Miller pitched a complete game (4 innings), struck out 6 and surrendered only 1 run. 12s and 10s are back in action tomorrow night against Mechnicville/Stillwater. 12s are at home at 8pm and the 10s are away at 6pm.

On Saturday the 10s and 12s got the summer All Star Tournament season started. The 12s dropped their game to Rotterdam/Carman, while the 10s picked up a win. Both teams are back in action tonight against Scotia/Glenville. The 10s are home on the major field at 6pm and the 12s are away at 6pm. Francisco Cupp pitched a gem in the 10s win... complete game, 6ks, 2 runs, 1 earned. Jaxon Brahler had a clutch unassisted double play in the first inning with the bases loaded and no outs. At the plate the boys combined for 12 hits and 13 runs. Brahler and Cupp had 3 hits and 2 RBI each. Jude Miller and Gavin Murphy also had a multi hit day. A big 9 run 5th inning blew the game open and ultimately ended it.
