We are loaded up with ice fishing live bait for the weekend. We have a nice selection of lures for everything from panfish to pike. Tip-ups have also been re-stocked. Expected next week, more rods, reels, and combos but we have plenty for this weekend.... Most area lakes are frozen, excluding Lake George. Locally Saratoga Lake and Cossayuna have six or more inches. Lake Lonely has four or more inches. Great Sacandaga is around six inches. Round Lake had four inches last weekend so probably more now. Moreau Lake has four inches or more.

After waiting four weeks a large tackle order finally arrived. We've got a fair amount of rods and reels available now. Including a bait casting combo from Zebco that retails for under $50 Children's two foot combos and tackle boxes are also available. ... Most of the fish hooks, including wire snelled for toothy critters, are restocked. As well as a new assortment of fishing line, missing a few, but we've also got bulk monofilament we can put on a reel for you. We were also able to snag some great looking weedless frog lures and plastic grubs for only $3.99 each. Still no new Gary Yamamoto, have just a few colors left, but we've gotten some substitutions in. Along with more Z-man Ned Rig baits, Anglers Choice tubes, and other plastic lures that work well this time of year. Keitech jigs will be arriving sometime next week, still have a lot of their swimbaits in stock.

Due to possible thunderstorms but more due to the high, 20-30 mile wind warnings later this afternoon before and during the tournament hours Tim has decided to cancel tonight's Tuesday Night Bass Challenge. Sorry for the last minute decision. Weather constantly changes, we've made the wisest decision based on what we know right now. Hopefully it was the right one. Thanks Everyone for you patience and please spread the word.

UPDATE: Due to possible thunderstorms but more due to the high, 20-30 mile wind warnings later this afternoon before and during the tournament hours Tim has decided to cancel tonight's Tuesday Night Bass Challenge. Sorry for the last minute decision. Weather constantly changes, we've made the wisest decision based on what we know right now. Hopefully it was the right one. Thanks Everyone for you patience and please spread the word. We understand the weather might be iffy on... Tuesday. Here is the situation with the Tuesday Night Bass Challenge and cancellations: Our standard is that the only weather cancellations is if an active thunderstorm is occurring at the time of take off. If weather stations are showing it will be going on for an extended period of time we may cancel or choose to delay if it's only passing. We've learned over the years not to predict much beforehand because we've canceled and had nothing happen. We can't reschedule so that is why we wait until the tournament is about to happen. If it got cancelled all money paid into that tournament would be refunded. Now in the case of Hurricanes or Tornadoes we will try to keep on top of warnings, weather maps, etc - again those have sometimes fizzled. So we wait until the last hour before take-off usually to call it. The only difference might be if the weather is very active about the time of tournament set-up 3pm and dangerous with no indication it will be ending at 5pm. Watch here for an update. The store is closed on Tuesday so please don't call on Tuesday. You can comment here if there is a question. I think I covered everything
