Register Here: https://sattvastudio.punchpass.com/calendar Meredith's Bio: As a larger bodied person, Meredith (she/her) has dabbled with yoga in many different forms over the last 20+ years but never felt she was allowed/welcome to practice due to her body. After experiencing an injury that limited her ability to participate in fitness activities, she attended a Kundalini yoga class with a friend. It was through this experience in which the world of yoga opened up for her. Kundalini yoga allowed Meredith to reconnect with movement again and journey deeply inward in order to have her own personal experience. She felt welcomed to the yoga practice and free to adapt the asanas (movements) to her body’s needs. She discovered that the practice helped to open her body up for increased physical movement and flexibility, as well as quieting the mind. It only took practicing a few Kundalini Yoga classes for Meredith to decide that one day she would pursue becoming a teacher, as she knew so many could benefit from the teachings and practices. Fast forward to five years later - In 2020 Meredith completed her 200 hour Kundalini teacher training with Ravi Singh and courageously began her teaching journey online during a worldwide pandemic. Meredith is passionate in creating a brave space for all individuals to experience yoga. She feels that yoga is for everyone right now, just as they are. Meredith believes that all can benefit from the ancient teachings and sciences of yoga, which focuses on the mind, body, and Spirit. If you can breathe, you can do it. It is all about your personal experience and what YOU get from the movement and mantra.

Happy Monday Here's to hoping you each had a peaceful + calm holiday. Melissa's Stress --> Less series begins next Sunday! It is said that stress can be traced back to 95 - 99% of illnesses or dis-ease in the body. This isn’t something that happens overnight, but can be a cumulative process when our body has been in a chronic state of stress. Sometimes we can internalize our stress more than we realize + it may present itself in different forms through our body, thoughts, ...emotions + actions/behaviors. Less than a week until the Stress > Less series begins next Sunday, December 6. The series is broken up into 3 sessions: Anchor into awareness Expand Into Embodiment Ignite Integration The Stress --> Less Series will help you ground into the body + invite more awareness to various stressors you’re experiencing + expressing. You’ll explore a variety of tools that are known to support the stress response + identify which ones align with your unique needs. In the final session we’ll not only explore integration, but also thoughts + beliefs + how these play a role in the way we manage + relate to stress. Although this series focuses on stress, you will learn so much + more that you can take with you personally + professionally - empowering you on your path to more peace + calm. This series has opened my eyes to the power I have to see and mold my experience of the world from day to day. It has guided me patiently through a very daunting time of change and challenge. It has offered me space and permission to put my own well-being at the top of my list and to then appreciate the impact of my renewed energy on those around me. It’s been a practice I look forward to each month as a process or path to growth. Melissa has encouraged us to have compassion, but more importantly, she has modeled the openness and compassion through her words, approach, and message. Discover The Power of Loving Yourself A passage from ‘Journey To The Heart’ by Melody Beattie Sometimes it’s hard to trust life with all its sudden twists, turns, and storms. When something unexpected or painful happens, when we become blocked or frustrated, when life takes a different course than we hoped it would, it’s easy to stop trusting the flow of our lives. I didn’t ask for this. It’s not fair. I don’t want this, we think. This road isn’t leading anywhere, at least nowhere I want to go. Often, when we feel life has turned on us, we respond by turning on ourselves. But turning on ourselves doesn’t help. In fact, it can compound the situation. It can prevent us from hearing and acting on the very guidance that will lead us through, get us through, and take us to the next place. It can prevent us from hearing our heart. Keep loving yourself, and taking care of yourself, no matter what through the storms, the twists, the turns, the turns, and the blocks. Take a moment, breathe deep, restore yourself to that sacred place of self-love and self-responsibility. Feel all your feelings. Then let them go. Love yourself until you can hear your heart and what it tells you to do. Love yourself until you find the courage to act on that guidance. Loving yourself is a powerful tool, a powerful force for change. It can reconnect you to creativity, to universal love, to the best possible flow of events within your life.
