SHOUTOUT to our amazing customers and the Newark community! In light of the recent change shortage, Save A Lot came out with a brilliant program called Round Up for Charity. It allowed customers to round up their transaction to the nearest dollar, donating their change while helping us during a shortage. In short time, our customers raised $700 for a local free lunch program. We couldn’t let the customers do all the work so we matched that amount to make it an even $1400! It’s amazing to see the generosity that still exists in our small community. Remember, every penny counts! Literally! #roundupforcharity

Just some tips to help keep yourselves and our employees safe while shopping. Thanks everyone! We WILL get through this together!

** UPDATE ** Due to the fact that our meat is fresh cut every day, our entire meat department has been producing meat around the clock to try and serve everyone’s needs. Because of this we are forcing the entire meat department to take off Sunday, March 22nd. Working at the pace they have been working is not safe since they’re dealing with dangerous equipment. We want them to go home and rest up and enjoy a little family time. We will try our best to have as much meat still for sale on Sunday but there will be no one in that department for special cuts and orders. We apologize in advance for anything we may run out of but greatly appreciate your understanding. These guys are an incredible team and if we don’t force them to take the day off, they will not stop!

**UPDATE** Starting tomorrow, March 20th, our hours are changing to 8:00am to 6:00pm for the safety of our employees. We are sorry for any inconvenience but greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We hope everyone is safe and healthy out there! Remember to be kind and respectful to everyone during these hard times. Thank you from all of us at Save A Lot in Newark.

*** UPDATE *** First off, we hope everyone is ok and staying safe out there. We just want to let you know that our next delivery won’t be until sometime Monday evening. We are spread very thin right now but we are doing everything we can to get product back on our shelves. We are ordering multiple extra trucks this week to try and help out anyone and everyone we can. PLEASE be kind to all the employees out there who are working around the clock to try and keep everyone safe and secure. There’s currently no sports but there’s still no I in team so remember to work together. Not against each other. Thank you all for your support and patience through these tough times. We can and we WILL get through this.

We just received a load of paper products this morning. We will have quantity limits on all paper and cleaning products for the foreseeable future to try and help as many customers as possible during these hard times. We ask that everyone be respectful to one another! Your actions could help someone in need. We will get through this faster if we work together.
