LIVE // God’s response to Hagarin the middle of a painful and difficult situationwas this: I see you. Now, this may not sound like it would’ve helped her much, but you know what? Hagar noticed. This verse says Hagar saw God in the middle of her situation. Now, she probably didn’t actually SEE God; what she really means is that she felt His presence, comfort, and peace. God saw Hagar, and He sees you, too. Are you facing a painful or difficult situation right now? God sees you. Lean into that truth and soon you’ll experience His presence, comfort, and peace, too. #intothewildseries

LIVE // Hagar was caught in the crosshairs of a mess after Abraham took God’s plan into his own hands. But as messed up as the situation was, God was present with Hagar. Have you ever felt caught up in someone else’s mess? Like a conflict between two of your friends or your parents’ divorce? God’s response in those kinds of situations is rarely to swoop in and solve it. Instead, God’s response is to sit down in the mess with us and remind us that He is close. Are you caught up in someone else’s mess right now? Today, ask God to comfort you and give you peace as you wade through the situation. #intothewildseries

TALK // Sometimes we think that to find God, we have to seek Him hardlike we have to close our eyes and cringe for 20 minutes to get close to Him. But here’s the thing: God is everywhere. He’s not hiding from us, and He’s not trying to make it difficult for us to connect with Him. He is already everywhere you might run to and everywhere you might think to look. Even when you think you’re hiding from God, you’re notand more importantly, you don’t need to. God can handle everything you bring His way, no matter where you may be. Is there someone in your life who needs to be reminded of this? If so, text them some encouragement today. #intothewildseries

PRAY // Abraham had messed up in a big way with his mistress, Hagar. Maybe you feel like you’ve messed up in some area of your life or done something so bad that God couldn’t possibly still like you or be on your side. But the truth is, right there in the middle of the mess with you, is God. Whatever situations you find yourself in right nowgood or badGod is with you. Are there places in your life where you may have missed recognizing God? Today, ask God to show you that He’s with youeven in your not-so-shining moments. #intothewildseries

HEAR // When life got challenging for Elijah, he ran away from God’s plan for him. What are you doing? God asked him. Ever been there? Have you ever taken a step God wanted you to take, but it ended up making life even more difficult? Maybe you did the right thing at school, and now people make fun of you for it. Or maybe you didn’t cheat when you could have, and you ended up failing the test. In those moments, it’s important to remember that God has His eye on you. He sees you, and He’s with you. And while following God doesn’t mean life will be easy, you’ll never regret following His plan. Is there a challenging step God wants you to take today? Take the step. You won’t regret it. #intothewildseries

HEAR // When God asks us where we are, it isn’t because He lost us. It is usually because we lost ourselves, our perspective, or our view of Him. And the truth is, since there are no questions that God doesn’t already know the answers to, our answers to God’s questions are more for us than they are for Him. His questions for us can help us regain perspective after our own mistakes. Maybe you’ve recently asked yourself a question like, How did I end up in this situation? It’s these kinds of questions that just might just be God’s nudging in our lives. Today, ask yourself: Is there an area of my life where God is asking me some questions? #intothewildseries

PRAY // You’ve probably been told that God loves you. But did you know that God also likes you? He likes you just the way you are. And He likes you enough to want to hang out with you, all the time. You don’t have to be perfect or good all the time, either. You can just be youmaybe messy, maybe kind of broken, maybe struggling with some things. And the best part? God won’t change His mind on how much He likes you. Now, with how much we mess up, it can be easy to feel like God wouldn’t like us very much. Today, remind yourself just how much God likes you by praying this: Jesus, help me know in my heart that You like me and accept me just as I am. #intothewildseries

TALK // The big takeaway in Abraham’s story is that God can be trusted. We can confidently follow God into wild, uncharted territoryinto a different school, onto a new sports team, and even into a difficult family situation. And all along the way we can trust that God is with us and cares about each step we take. We can trust that, when we mess up, He will be there to help us get back on track. And when it feels like we’re lost, we can trust that God hasn’t lost sight of us. What mountain has God dared you to climb? Tell a trusted friend, parent, coach, or Small Group Leader about it. Then ask them how they’ve seen God provide for them in their wilderness situations. #intothewildseries

PRAY // When we step out into the wild, we don’t always know what awaits. But we do know that God is our ProviderHe sees what’s ahead, prepares the path, and gives us what we need when we need it. If you are taking a step of faith and going after what God has put on your heart, have courage knowing that He has your back. Is there one step that you need to take today?
