On Saturday South Blooming Grove FD received an alarm for a structure fire on Fort Worth Pl. Upon arrival units found heavy fire showing from the basement extending up the front of the house to the roof. Hand lines where put into operation as a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Several members from South Blooming Grove and Washingtonville FD executed a primary search and pulled out 2 persons which where transferred to EMS and transported to area hospitals. Multiple mutual aid companies responded from Washingtonville, Salisbury Mills, Monroe, Woodbury, Vails Gate, Campbell Hall, Maybrook, Tuxedo, Cornwall & Chester to assist with operations, filling tankers and standby.

Fay continues to ...move north/northeast at 10 mph with impacts from heavy rain/flooding and winds to begin this morning. Showers and thunderstorms will primarily be limited to coastal areas through the early morning with rain bands beginning to move inland by late morning. NOTE: Do not focus on the exact track. Impacts can occur well outside the area enclosed by the cone. 7/10/2020 6:31 AM Flash Flood Watch National Weather Service New York NY 512 AM EDT Fri Jul 10 2020 ...FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE THROUGH THIS EVENING...Fri Jul 10 2020 ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING... * Through this evening * Heavy rain showers and embedded thunderstorms are forecast through this evening. A total of 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected, with locally higher amounts possible. Torrential rainfall within a short period of time will be possible and this could lead to flooding of low lying, urban and poor drainage areas. Some smaller streams and rivers could exceed bankfull. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
