Last Friday the Williamson Youth Center held a Spring Fun Event! Every current Williamson Youth Center student was encouraged to bring a new friend with hopes to grow the attendance at the center and that is exactly what happened. Over 30 kids showed up, played outside on our inflatables, participated in tournaments, ate food, and heard the Gospel! It was such a blessing and joy to see these young kids having a good time in a safe environment. I think by the pictures you can tell what they liked the most!

Happy Friday! Today we just want to take a moment and highlight some volunteers from Scarlet Thread Ministries, Dave, and Sue Hyland! Dave and Sue have been volunteering for 16yrs! It all started with a phone call from Don DiCrasto asking if they wanted to get back into youth ministry and they jumped right in. Dave and Sue currently volunteer at the Marion Youth Center and are a huge reason this location is still able to run. Dave uses his gifts to help out in the AV depart...ment and also sets up and runs all the fun games in the gym. Sue helps with registration and also is known for making homemade snacks every week for the kids to eat! Scarlet Thread Ministries is so thankful and blessed for the time they sacrifice to serve the Lord and share the Gospel with local teens! Dave says his favorite part of volunteering is: Working together as a married couple and serving multiple generations of youth and parents. Sue says her favorite part of volunteering is: I love the relationships we build with the youth and watching them grow from year to year until they graduate high school. I am thankful for the privilege of sharing the hope that they can have by allowing Jesus to have full control of their lives. Thank you, Dave and Sue! This past weekend some of our Scarlet Thread Staff and volunteers attended a youth conference at Living Word AG in Ontario. It was a day full of insightful speakers, meaningful discussions, and much-needed fellowship with other youth leaders. We had a wonderful time! I hope you can see our smiling faces behind our masks!

Hello from the Williamson Youth Center! Being able to safely open the youth center with Covid and continue to keep it open has been a huge blessing. It’s been a great joy for us to see kids continue to invite their friends and watch numbers grow at the youth center each week! We have noticed that some of the kids at the youth center have been engaged during our devotional time and starting in March we will host an optional monthly Bible Study. This will be held after normal youth center times and allow kids to spend some extra time diving into the Bible and learning more about the hope of Jesus. We ask that you keep Williamson Youth Center in your prayers with all God is doing; seen and unseen. We need volunteers with growing numbers, so if you know anyone willing to serve in this area please contact Scarlet Thread Ministries.
