Meet Annie! Annie graduated from Scarsdale Ballet in 2013 and went on to study dance and business administration at Muhlenberg College She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia while teaching at local studios and performing with the Megan Flynn Dance Company ... Fun Fact: Annie says that her favorite pieces to learn & perform were Episodes and Serenade! However, her favorite memory was learning excerpts from Four Temperments with Diana and Simon in partnering classes "Dance is a very special gift, don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and share your unique dancing body and soul with your audience. -Annie Annie is also the content creator and social media manager for Scarsdale Ballet Studio! During this past year our students in the Choreography Workshop class worked with Skyla Schreter on a piece that will be performed at our End of the Year Recital this weekend, June 18th & 19th! In the piece, Skyla emphasizes dancing together in a group while simultaneously maintaining each dancer’s individuality. Meet Madeline! Madeline graduated from Scarsdale Ballet in 2017 - She completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, where she studied biological sciences and continued to dance as a member of an on campus dance troupe She is currently entering her last year of medical school - hoping to specialize in hematology/oncology! ... Fun Fact: Madeline says that her favorite pieces at SBS were Serenade and Stars and Stripes because they were such unique pieces to learn and perform! "Don't be too hard on yourself - when you learn to dance for yourself, the rest will follow. Ballet has given me so much: self discipline, self-growth and development. All the lessons have shaped who I have become today and I will carry them with me forever.
