The time has finally come, the first meeting of the semester is tomorrow! We'll be meeting at 11:00 at the usual place (Riverhead building Rm 123 for anyone new). Hey guys, this is your president, I'm sorry I haven't been posting at all this summer I do wish to keep you guys up to date so here's what's going on right now. Just yesterday Frank Vino got back to me via email, he stated that the earliest the school can get Comic con tickets was the first week of August, there wasn't enough budget left over to get them earlier. He also stated what I need from you guys is a list of students with their ID#'s to show that people are willing to... go. So what I'm gonna ask is that you guys PM the page, with your: Full first and Last Name and ID# and I will bring it in to Frank before the first day of August. Chances are we're gonna be getting Friday passes again (if anything) but even if you bought your passes already if you could still send me your name and ID it would help out the club a lot and would very much be appreciated. Guys just giving you all a quick update I am aware Comic Con tickets go up today and I know everyone wants a 3 day pass. I can't get in contact with Frank until July 7th as he is away from his office so as of this moment I wouldn't bet on us getting 3 days. I will try I swear by the earth sea sky and stars I WILL TRY. But I just want to keep everyone up to date on the situation. If anyone knows anyone who could afford to pick up 50 3day's and be reimbursed later PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP otherwise I'll see what I can do about Saturday or Friday passes. Alright so here's basically how the discussion with Frank went. The issue of room 123 being used by the business club comes down to a first come first serve matter. Now being that there's only a class in 119 in the spring, next semester it won't be an issue. However the rest of the staff and I are looking into getting a new room so that will not be a major issue later. We discussed comic con and Frank seems to really want to get the tickets for us as soon as possible so he a...nd I will keep in touch. As for the budget its been brought to our attention the budget works on a system of request and receive rather than an allotted balance. So next semester if there is something going on that you know about in advance that yoy think the club should take a trip to, LET US KNOW ASAP so we may fill out the paper work and request the budget for it. Just so you guys are all aware tomorrow is the 2nd to last club meeting of the semester. We will be holding nominations for the next Secretary and Treasurer, going over details for the cosplay, art, and AMV contests, and details regarding the swap meet.
