There's still time to register for our online Kid & Teen Academy classes! Is your child interested in archaeology? Check out this online archaeology class. Hands-on Archaeology for Kids... In this online course, young archaeologists, ages 9-15, will learn about themes in archaeology, including local historical, prehistoric, and international archaeology, and the techniques and preservation methods that archaeologists use. Interactive sessions will include talks with archaeologists. Virtual tours of local and international sites are planned. Crafts related to each theme will be provided to each student. Interested in a career working with animals? The pet industry is booming and demand has increased. This online certificate program explores the field through a variety of courses and internships that provide tools required to succeed in this field. Check out our Summer 2021 courses: Pet Certificate... June 15 August 15 CRN# 60994 CFP 220-71 Fee: $400 This course will help students explore the field of animal-related careers through education and internships. The Pet Education certificate course teaches pet health and illness, communication, behavior management, safety, basic hygiene, writing a résumé, and more. The instructor will assist students in securing the necessary internships to complete the certificate. Students must successfully complete the online course, complete a pet First Aid/CPR course, and have 100 hours of internships at approved animal care facilities within six months of the final meeting in order to successfully complete this program. The Community Archaeology Program is pleased to offer Gravestone Cleaning with Melody Howarth. Would you like to learn how to clean cemetery stones? Intro to Craft Brewing and Distilling - new course running April 6 - July 27, 2021. Area brewers have teamed up to develop a training program to meet the growing needs of Craft Breweries throughout the Capital Region and Upstate NY. This course teaches entry level brewing skills and includes occasional lab sessions off campus on Saturdays. It is taught by professional brewers and the curriculum is developed and overseen by regional breweries.
