Heads up: thunderstorms will be possible today, mainly during the late afternoon and evening. Isolated storms could produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding.

Reminder for the town Memorial Day Parade tomorrow, step off at 7:00pm! Expect traffic delays on Route 40 North and South as the road will be shut down at the East Gate of the Fairgrounds and at the bridge by the Presbyterian church for approximately 20 minutes. All side streets in the village parade route will also be shut down temporarily. There will be a short ceremony in the park by Village Hall. See you there!

Route 40 is reopened in both directions for Normal traffic.

South Main Street (Route 40) will be one lane alternating traffic due to a power line down. Expect moderate delays while crews work to restore power.

Boil Water Advisory Has Been Lifted Village Information / By Village We received word from the Rensselaer County Department of Health and the boil water advisory has been lifted as of 8:30 am Tuesday 3/23/21.

Tonight the members of the Schaghticoke Fire Department drilled on patient extrication, and using our combination tool to gain access to a vehicle after its been in an accident. Good work to all the members, great communication, great strategies and tactics, and great teamwork! Join us any Thursday night for drill and fill out an application to become a driving force in the safety and protection of your village!

Hey everyone! A local boy in the town of Schaghticoke reached out to our department with a very touching story. We want to do everything we can at all to help him and his cause. He’s part of a charity called Hatsgiving in the images below you will find his story and an information page of the charity he’s apart of. We will be taking donations of hats at the firehouse, we are there every Thursday night from 7pm until around 10pm and the first Monday of every month from 7pm u...ntil around 8:30pm. Additionally, we will have a donation box at our BBQ fundraiser on November 7th.
