Our former member, Katelyn Galbraith has been busy advocating for the Salary History Ban to pass. See her post below: Friends, today is the final day of the legislative session. We've worked so hard to pass legislation to close the gender wage gap- an injustice that costs New York's women and families millions of dollars a year and billions over their lifetimes. The Salary History Ban, a measure that would prevent employers from requesting or relying on a potential employee's previous salary when determining an offer, passed in the Senate late last night, but by a smaller margin than I had anticipated. Please take a minute this morning to call your Assembly member and let them know that you want them to pass the Salary History Ban today. Please do your part and call your Assembly member today.

Message from Kent and Eric: We have scheduled an event to celebrate the life of Karen Johnson at Proctors Theater on September 5, 2019 starting 1:00 pm. The ev...ent will be open to the public and is truly meant to be a celebration. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who would be interested. We continue to be so appreciative of all the kind words and positive stories we have heard about our mother since her passing. She was truly blessed to have such friendships and relationships across the community. And, we have been humbled to hear about her positive impact. Thank you all for sharing. A private burial ceremony will take place in Westfield, NY.

Another successful Scholarship Awards dinner! So rewarding to be a part of this awesome organization! Many thanks to the Scholarship committee: Linda Rolfe, Don...na Christensen, Jane Schramm, Sharon Carter, Judith Connolly & Robin Brennan. They did a great job choosing 4 fantastic candidates, each receiving $2,500! The fruits of all of our hard work raising money at our annual Fashion Show. Our Fashion Show this year will be Sun.
