Schenectady County Department of Social Services Foster Care

A huge thank you from the Schenectady County Department of Social Services to Alicia Lackey and Mélissa Lemay for their ongoing generosity and support of Schenectady County's foster children. Pictured below, they continue to donate care packages to children entering foster care in our community. These bags have consistently made an incredibly difficult day for our children, a little bit easier.

Schenectady County's Department of Social Services, and most especially our Foster Care Unit, have been humbled by the donation of 72 care-package backpacks for Schenectady County children entering the foster care system during this difficult time. Community members Melissa and Alicia went out of their way to put together incredible bags, that will make a very difficult day for our children, just a little bit easier. We are so immensely grateful for their support and generosity. Thank you both!
