Good afternoon friends and families of Belmont Pop Warner, A lot of people are wondering what is happening with our season. After much thought and consideration, we as a board have agreed that we will be taking this season off. While capital distric t is allowing us to host a flag season for football and a no contact season for cheer we believe that this will not suit us or the needs of our children. The restrictions that are in place we believe would be too much an...d the questions left unanswered are also too much. Beyond all that, we will not have access to our field as the school is not allowing sports in the fall. With all that said I'm sure parents will be disappointed so we would encourage you to check out Rotterdam Pop Warner who will be taking on the challenge of running a program this year. We look forward to getting through this and returning next year with renewed vigor and another opportunity for Schenectady-Belmont football to once again shine above the rest. Let me clarify....we did not "fold." We made a decision based on a certain set of circumstances that we felt would not be conducive to our program or our families. Understand that we will be back on top next season right where we belong. While I dont care for the wording I do encourage anyone who is looking to play to go ahead and reach out but never forget who we are and what we represent. One team one family!

This doesn't look good. I know I said I thought we were good to go but as is the case lately what I've realized is it's never what you think. This is the current state guidelines which has us able to no/low contact practice but does not allow for competitive games or competitions. Read up and let me know what you think.

Ok friends, it looks like we will proceed as usual. Predictions put us at phase 4 in mid july which will allow us to conduct business as usual using common sense as far as protecting ourselves and our children. Happy to say that we applied for and recieved a grant from USA Football which we used to secure 11 new pairs of shoulder pads.

Good afternoon friends and families, We're hoping everyone is well and happy throughout this crazy time. Let's talk/discuss our season this year. I'm looking for feedback from the community that is Belmont. Currently, our program along with the schools in our area are still undecided. Do I hold in person registration? If we are planning on continuing on, does anyone have concerns regarding how we will proceed ie. Taking temperatures before practice, hand sanitizing reg...ularly, possible masks being worn, social distancing? Do we host games and NOT allow parents to sit in the bleachers? I clearly can not/will not take any money without any guarantee of our season. If I allow registration, is it feasible to believe that everyone will have their money in on time so we can pay for insurance and register our teams as well? I have so many questions and really not a lot of answers. I'm looking for possible ideas. Much love to all of you. See more

Friends and families, in alignment with the schools in Schenectady we will be closed for business all next week, March 16-20. THIS SERVES AS NOTICE THERE WILL BE NO CHEERLEADING THIS COMING WEEK. We apologize to our cheerleaders and our parents currently involved but better safe than sorry. We will update later next week as to how we are moving forward.
