KUDOS to the NY Times for speaking the TRUTH. VERY Interesting article on how abortion embodies STRUCTURAL RACISM whether or not that is a given individual's conscious intention. Abortion has dramatically reduced the Black population in America by it's HUGE numbers (Five times that of White's). African-Americans wouldn't even be a minority today if abortion were illegal. Abortion has also helped enormously in the destruction of the Black nuclear family by it's ability to enco...urage non-committal sexual relationships. That destruction of families living without a father present in the home has led to countless other social changes which have held back African-Americans in every conceivable way. LIFE itself is the basis for each and every other right. We will never have equal justice with these hideous, barbaric practices continued against our most vulnerable and innocent citizens. So if we want people to have good and just lives with adequate healthcare, quality educations, and healthy families . . . . maybe we should stop putting abortion clinics in their neighborhoods and holding down their numbers so much so that they remain a minority who is unable to bring about change for themselves!. Could it be that perhaps the MOST racist thing of all is White people voting for a policy (a "right"??) which keeps Blacks a minority?! This editorial piece is concise, powerful . . . . TRUTH. Oh and BTW . . . .Planned Parenthood, we're not fooled by your superficial gesture of removing Margaret Sanger's name. Remove her legacy of hatred for African-Americans, the disabled and the poor. Her legacy is one of white supremacy and there is no place where it is more viable than Planned Parenthood. See more
