Schenectada DAR Chapter, Schenectady, New York

Every time the President General is from our state the NY DAR Juniors have a wonderful creative fundraiser. It features the theme of First Ladies outfits to fit an American Girl Doll, they named Miss Angelica after Angelica van Buren. Since our current PG is last named van Buren, it is super appropriate. I signed up on behalf of our Schenectada Chapter to do Rosalynn Carter since she lived for a short time in Schenectady with her Navy husband Jimmy, and sons. He was attending Union College and working at the Kesselring site while living in the military housing in Rotterdam. Since my preference is knitting, I made Rosalynn's dress of simple knitted navy blue like her National Portrait dress. As I made it last winter, so I am a little late, but figured it would be nice to share!
