Schmidt's Scattered Maples

Happy Father’s Day! We finally had time today to plug our spouts into the T’s for the summer after letting the lines air dry. By plugging them it keeps spiders and little insects from getting into the lines in the off season.

June is dairy month so we thought we’d show off two of our newest additions to our dairy farm. Theses beautiful brown Swiss were born just days apart and will grow up together and become life long friends. Our Swiss have a tendency to hang out together and seek each other out when mixed with the Holsteins. Grab some vanilla ice cream and top it with some our maple syrup to help us celebrate dairy month!

Finally we have an antique tractor show this weekend to attend! We will be set up Saturday and Sunday with all our maple products and some baked goods as well! There will be chicken BBQ available both days. FREE ADMISSION, bring the whole family to the show!

Busy week here on the farm! Plowing, planting oats and corn , and mowing hay sometimes all in the same day. Maple is our first of many crops of the year.

Having some DELICIOUS cinnamon infused maple syrup on waffles this cool morning! We only have a couple quarts available but will definitely be making a lot more next season. $20 a quart.
