How do trail users feel about the use of herbicides to control plant growth on the trail? Is this something we should pursue? This is mainly in consideration from the pavilion to the new extension. Please give your opinion.
Approximately 600' of new Cobleskill Creek Trail was constructed this week. More to come this year. A reminder to please carry out any trash that you bring to the trail and parking area. Keep dogs leashed and clean up after your dog. We are guests on private and SUNY Cobleskill property. The trail is maintained by volunteers with limited private and grant funding (most recent funding from the Rural Health Education Network of Schoharie, Otsego and Montgomery Counties and Cobleskill Rotary). Thank you to SUNY Cobleskill (President Terenzio, Wendy Gilman, Joe Batchelder, Kane Seamon) for the continued support and work on trail, Nadeau & Sons for your construction work and advice, and Chris Cornwell for your mowing work on the trail.
Some trail improvements will be occurring this summer on the Cobleskill Creek Trail. We anticipate being able to keep the trail open but please be advised there may be sections that will be temporarily closed during this time.
The Cobleskill Creek Trail is closed on Tuesday, May 19 until dawn on Wednesday, May 20 due to crop spraying. For your own safety, please do not use the trail today.
