The Schoharie County 4-H Sow, Grow & Show gardening series has started! During the first session, 4-H youth learned about planting for indoor germination and started some seeds. These photos show how the seeds have grown over the last week!

The Farmers’ Museum Junior Livestock Show is planning to happen this year, and we hope you are all excited to participate! Please keep in mind that due to COVID-19 safety regulations, the show won’t look like what we are used to and there may be some additional guideline changes between now and then. If you plan to participate in the Junior Livestock Show, all Animal ID forms/registration paperwork must be submitted to the 4-H office by June 1, 2021 to be eligible! Remember, ...you must be a currently enrolled member of the Schoharie County 4-H Program to participate. Please note: Cloverbuds are not eligible to participate. NEW FOR 2021! - The Junior Livestock Show book will be available online as a .pdf document or a printed copy may be requested from the 4-H office. - There will be no-overnight accommodations. - All shows will be one day shows. - We are limited to 200 people on grounds, so we ask no spectators and only 2 adults per exhibitor. - The shows will be LIVE streamed. - There will be a Meat Goat show offered this year. 2021 SHOW SCHEDLUE SUNDAY, JULY 11 Dairy Goat Show (All Day), Sheep Show (AM), Meat Goat Show (PM) 7:009:30 Vet Check in and registration 10:00 a.m. Dairy Goat Showmanship and Breed Classes 10:00 a.m. Sheep Showmanship and Breed Classes 2:00 p.m. Meat Goat Showmanship and Breed Classes MONDAY, JULY 12 Beef Cattle Show (AM), Swine Show (PM) 8:00 10:00 Vet check in and registration 10:30 a.m. Beef Cattle Showmanship followed by breed classes 2:30 p.m. Swine Showmanship followed by breed classes TUESDAY, JULY 13 Dairy Cattle ShowJUNIOR ANIMALS ONLY 8:00 a.m.11: a.m. Vet Check in and registration 12:00 p.m. Dairy Cattle Showmanship and Breed Classes HOW TO ENTER THE SHOW - Online entry for 2021: Here is the link to the JLS show book: http://cceschoharie-otsego.org//junior-livestock-show-show Here is the link to the online JLS Registration page: https://cornell.ca1.qualtrics.com/j/form/SV_bkpB2kb3host6dM A Note to Exhibitors: Once all entries have been entered into the form, the user must choose to Submit & End Registration. Before submitting the form, the user will have the option to navigate back to previous pages and forward again. To avoid technical issues, the user should always return to the page of the last entry they entered before submitting. Remember, you must be a currently enrolled member of the Schoharie County 4-H Program to participate. You will be able to add all class entries before submitting your registration.
