We hope everyone has remained safe and healthy. I don’t know about you but my summer felt pretty empty without all our live music events. Thanks go out to our local musicians for their pop up park music. It really helped. Many of our performers have been holding live concerts on line. Google your favorites and enjoy some virtual music. Cafe Lena is one to check also. Will we be able to congregate next summer ?? The numbers are not looking good right now. Do your part to end this spread, stay safe everyone.

The Schroon Lake Arts Council has been carefully assessing the impact that Covid-19 has had on our lives here in the North Country. We take seriously the responsibility of assuring the health and safety of our Artists, volunteers and audience members during this upcoming season. Accordingly, we have decided to cancel the Boathouse Concert Series, the weekly Jam sessions, Porch Fest and the Adirondack Folk Music Festival for this summer. As always, we thank you for your support and look forward to offering a wonderful program for 2021. Stay safe everyone.

There is something about a porch. It calls to musicians. It is a refuge for sound and a safe haven for observing the world. I spent hours on porches as a kid, daydreaming, reading and listening to an old static filled AM radio with two dials. Whole communities come together on porches. That's why we want you to experience Porchfest: Sunday - August 26th 12 noon to 4pm - on porches throughout the town of Schroon. A movable feast of music.
