A beautiful day on Lake Erie this morning! Glad I didn't listen to the weatherman! Boxed out on Nice Eyes before we chased the Smallies around unfortunately they didn't cooperate as well as the Walleye!

Lake Erie was angry today! Relegated to the Harbor! Weeded through a bunch of Sheepshead, White perch and shorts to land 16 perfect eater size Walleye! Also a bonus 5 1/4# Smallie!

The fog today was crazy for this time of year on Lake Erie with the water temperature at 64! A few pictures from the other day I forgot to post.

One nice spawned out female still mixed in among the scrappy male Smallies today before it got sporty!

Nice Morning on Lake Erie despite being near dead flat and then when the breeze did try to start to blow it was out of the North! We made the best of it and caught a mixed bag!

Another fun day on Lake Erie this morning before the winds picked up and got nasty again! Weatherman's on a roll as usual 4-8 mph wind my ass you could easily add 10-15 to that! At least it was good catching up with an old friend and we found a few good ones even though most of what we caught were in the 1-3# range.

The East/Northeast winds made the fishing a little difficult but, we managed a few good ones and a few laughs!

Was a good morning on Lake Erie before the winds kicked up and it got a a little rough and I couldn't slow my trip down! Started out near perfect with 1 footers but went to 3's, so we called it a half day! Starting to catch more spawned out females, 6 today!

Water cleared up nicely from the blast of wind the last week gave us. Too bad the Salmon didn't get the message! We did get a 24# hen that is the biggest fish of the season for me!

A fun and tough day with the late start! The Birthday Girl prevailed with the biggest Smallie that went 5 1/4 pounds and she had the most as well!

It was a tough morning on Lake Erie today! It felt like November instead of September with the temperature in the the 50s and the North/Northeast winds but we managed a few decent Smallies!

Well, that sucks! Beat my way out 8 miles in 2-3' waves to where the fish are stacked. Set first 2 rods out, getting third ready to go down, get a double! Unfortunately, my client is puking over the side of the boat! We lose a Walleye on one rod, land the Sheepshead on the other and he says I can't take this, we have to go in! He was a great guy and I tried cutting him a break but he insisted on paying me for the half day and a tip as well!

Beautiful morning on Lake Erie today! I just couldn't get the Walleye to cooperate! We did get a Monster Channel Catfish that is the third biggest in my boat that tipped the scales at just over 17 pounds!

Weatherman is right on the money as usual! Not!

Congratulations to Chris Johnston for winning the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament on the Saint Lawrence River! Awesome job on 4 days of Monster Smallies with 97#'s 8 ounces! I'm also a new fan of Brock Mosley for his 3rd place finish on mostly Largemouths!

Had to work for them today! The big school broke up or moved. I just couldn't find it before the time ran out! Managed to boat enough for a good meal and had way more Sheepshead than Walleye!

Max wanted to catch a Walleye so we got him a couple, then went after Smallies! He wound up with a beautiful 5# Slob!

Had to dodge a few thunderstorms but the Walleye cooperated ok. Getting better every day!

Another hot day on Lake Erie, I marked a ton of fish all morning but couldn't get them to bite! I tried every direction, varied my speed from .8 to 2.0 very frustrating but we had fun!

The frickin weatherman lied again! Calling for 15-25 mph winds with 4-7' waves and we don't have a a breath of wind. It's almost stagnant with the humidity, that's only part of the forecast they got right!

I had a tough day today on Lake Erie! Granted it was a 1/2 day 1 man trip but we only got 2 Walleye which was a double but did get a little Brown Trout which was the first one in probably 8-10 years on Erie! I'm not sure if it was a stocked fish or a native as it had no fin clips. We marked a ton of fish but I just couldn't get them to bite after trying everything! Very Frustrating for me but my client had fun while catching his first Walleye and Brown Trout which is what's important!

Max had a great day on the water for his first time ever in a boat. He had his hands full but did great for a 6 year old!

The Walleye are starting to bite on Lake Erie even with it being dead flat and tons of boats! 10 keepers, a couple short fish, a couple Smallies and a bunch of Sheepshead!

The Smallie fishing has been tough the last few days with the majority of them spawning with the full moon. We did manage to get a beautiful 6# spawned out female and a 5 1/2# female that was started to drop eggs so I put her back without getting a picture!

Sorry people and clients, I will have to cancel my charters until June 6th because of our Freaking Dipshit Governor Cumhole has extended his Bullshit Charter ban! This is totally unbelievable! We are forced not to run our businesses by his executive orders! WTF are we supposed to do when we are are seasonal business and lose 2 of our best months of our season? I haven't got a penny from unemployment or the SBA after filing online and calling a 1000+ times trying to get through to try to get some answers! I have no idea what to do or how I'm going to recover from this! Sorry again for the rant, but this beyond Frustrating and Ridiculous!

Why I Love fishing the Niagara River in the spring! It sucks that my clients can't come and enjoy the awesome bite that is going on because of this freaking virus! Today, fishing by myself, I caught 4 different species, that should have been 5 (if I had a net man)! I went 6 for 8 on Steelhead then went downriver to Bass fish where I caught 20+ Smallies (biggest going over 5#'s), a Brown Trout, a Sheepshead and lost a Laker at the boat! Unfortunately, if they don't lift this charter ban everyone is going to miss all this fun!

Got out with my Buddy and his Border Collie Gwen this morning on the Lower Niagara River for a few hours. Despite the water being pretty dirty, we had a ball! Beautiful weather and Gwen made the trip along with the first 5# Smallmouth Bass of the season!

Had a fun day on the Niagara River this morning with buddy catching Steelhead, Walleye and Smallies! Even had a Laker chase my blade bait to the side of the boat! Saw him to late! He brought his Border Collie with him and she was a blast!

Even though the weatherman was wrong as usual as it started raining about 7:30 instead on noon and it was a steady drizzle all morning. The Smallies cooperated nicely!

I got out on the Niagara River with a Buddy for a few hours this morning to do some social distancing while we still can! The water was still a little dirty, but a 12mm Bright Orange UV tricked a few into biting as we went 5 for 9 and missed a few more bites! As long as they don't put us under complete lockdown, there is some great fishing ahead if you want to get out, let me know and I'll hook you up!

Finally able to get out on Niagara River Steelhead fishing after having to cancel the last 6 trips because of the wind and muddy water! The water wasn't to bad, about 3' of visibility but the 20-30mph winds made you really have to work to maintain good boat control. The Steelhead were biting very good! Unfortunately, we lost more than we landed, but still had a great day on the water! I still have a few openings for Steelhead over the next few weeks and a few for Trophy Smallies on Lake Erie in May! Get a hold of me for a great day on the water!

Hi All, As you read this post, there is great news! They have already started removing the Ice Boom at the mouth of the Niagara River that keeps the ice on Lake Erie from going down the River plugging the water intakes and doing property damage. This is way ahead of last years first week of May! With the mild winter, the Smallies should be bigger than usual as well as the Walleye and as long as we don't get an extended spell of brutally cold weather (like last year) we should... have an early spring! The days are filling up fast, so if you want a chance at 6-7#+ Monster, don't miss out on that Trophy Smallmouth Bass Trip of a Lifetime! Here's what I have left right now: May 10th, 11th, 15th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 27th, 29th, 31st, June 1st, 3rd and 6th in what I consider the Trophy Window! The day Walleye bite should start up around mid June as usual, maybe a week or so earlier. It's time to fill the freezer with the Best Eating Fish that swims in freshwater! With the Walleye population estimated at over 45 million, this great fishing will continue for a few years! The best fishing off Buffalo is mid June to early September where limits are daily as long as we can get out to them! Plan now to get the day you want to fill your freezer before they start filling up! Lastly, lets not Forget About the Fantastic Steelhead, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass fishing that is going on Right Now on the Niagara River when the water clears! Unfortunately, we've had to deal with a lot of dirty water because Lake Erie didn't have any ice to buffer the high winds that churn her into a muddy mess! When the water clears the fishing is simply incredible! March is fairly open but are very limited in April. Book your trip to enjoy a fantastic day on the water catching a variety of fish as it could be a 12# Steelie on one drift, a 10# Walleye or a 15# Laker the next!Tight Lines! See more

First morning on Lake Ontario this year. Did Ok despite having the Lake roll over. If we would have landed all the bites we had, it would have been a good day before the monsoon hit that soaked us!

It took me longer to run out to the fish and back in, than it took to catch my limit! Wound up catching 11 Eyes and 3 Sheepshead in less than an hour!

I just love last minute trips that turn into no shows! I guess I'm going to have to get a credit card reader for my phone to take deposits! This is the 2nd time this year for this crap! Not even a call, when I call them, the same old crap oh I thought I canceled or so & so was supposed to call me!
